Would a bottle logic FF pull two coconut vibes b2s?

Saw this trade today. Not mine. Curious though

 

Just my 2 cents but I wouldn't think so. I could see 1:1 or maybe a small plus either way.

 

Agreed. I'd be shocked if someone with 2 cocovibes pulled the trigger on this. Closer to 1:1, with plus needed from Cocovibes side.

 

I was kind of thinking the same but didn't want to crap on the thread.

 

This isn't crapping on it; just using the thread for its intended purpose. Going to the posted trade and letting loose would be crapping

If you go back through that guys posts it won't seem so strange. He's constantly a staunch defender of values for BL (especially of bottles he has). Take his word with a boat load of salt.

 

Yeah, there are a couple of those around here. FWIW, FF and Coconut Vibes b2 are almost exactly 1:1. If someone wants to be stubborn, a small plus on the coconut vibes side. It no universe is someone giving 2 coconut vibes for FF. Honestly, I wouldn't even do 1:1 and I'm on the Cocovibes side.

Why is Coconut Vibes valued so high? I really don't get that as a starting point to begin with.

 

Same reason any beer is valued high.

 

While i agree it's nowhere near 2:1 it's definitely not 1:1. Forces was a lottery almost 2 years ago, and i believe Cocovibes lasted multiple days to go - not sure what limits were, but i'm sure some people scored multiples. Just my $0.02

Not only that, but Coconut Vibes has been made multiple times, will likely continue to be made, and is not even barrel aged.

It's a simple stout with coconut in it you could walk in and buy to go. I really don't get it.

 

I had multiple (my fiancee and I each got one bottle). I traded one away first and then we opened the second one. I regretted trading the first one instantly. Coconut Vibes b2 is leaps and bounds my favorite coconut imperial stout.

I don't know much about FF value and difficulty in obtaining it, but having had Coconut Vibes b2 and knowing how much I like it, even at 1:1 I would not be enticed to trade it. I know it seems crazy, but I value the beers I really enjoy drinking a lot more than what secondary value or scarcity indicate.

 

it lasted more than a day it's due to the fact it was not publicly announced the first day it was on sale from what I remember. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I agree with you it's 1:1+ side of things but 1:2 didn't seem like a good offer to me which is why I asked and was curious.

For those wondering.. I'd suggest trying it! But to explain..Coconut vibes batch 2 is also insanely good. Body for non ba is great. They topped batch 1 which was very good in its own right. But this batch as a general consensus is MUCH better.

Add a much better batch (which many don't even want to trade because they've enjoyed it so much) with limited announcement and you've got values that rose and it seems to sit around 1 vru

 

It was only around multiple days because it was released in limited quantity on each day BBT was distributed. I actually don’t get the whole “FF was a lottery thing” is based on value. I’m my eyes some bottles trade high because they are delicious. Like Coco Vibes. B2 is nothing like b1.

Just my 2 cents.

 

Like all valuable bottles. It is the mix of quality, quantity, price, ease of access and brewery reputation.
