Trade Value Thread (2019)

The first trade I think you’re under. I see Tete for LPK as fair but I don’t quite see someone trading a 50N for FDF B2.

The second trade it all depends on what the other SARA bottles are. From what you listed, Proper Discourse would be the hardest to land, followed by Thousand Summers, followed by Seven. I don’t think you’re getting Westly + PD + ATS for instance but Westly + Seven + Jaybird, sure totally doable.

The last one I think you’re under. You could probably get a Zenne Solera and a nice plus though.

 

Although I have been away from trading for awhile, I’ve recently been getting back into valuations, and this was my take. Glad to see that was affirmed.

My guess is that a Zenne B1 is the hardest of your asks, and I just don’t see anyone biting for those bottles.

 

I would add that both of your Side Project were rereleased, so values have dropped. I think you’d be lucky to get LPK for both of your bottles, the 2015 sticker might be the “easiest” to trad for but it still won’t be easy.

 

How does 2019 assassin compare to BBT (any batch)?

 

I haven't traded in some time and don't see recent trades for Space Trace. Would it be likely able to trade for BA Popinski w/PB & Marsh?

Or might a Permutation 109?

Personal opinion but the Assassin 19 I had was dark fruit forward. Both batches of BBT were dark fudge which I prefer.

I know I'm in the minority but I prefer assassin 18 to 19.

 

Any chance Michter’s 10 (2018) could pull the Hot Garbage set, or a combo of Black Magick bottles? Would either side need a plus? And, just out of curiosity, how much did the Hot Garbage bottles cost?

 

Michter's 10 should be spot-on for the Hot Garbage set (these were $17/bottle, according to Voodoo's IG). You could maybe get a small plus from the Voodoo side, but definitely nothing big. As for Black Magicks, you could maybe get 2x orange/pink, but that's likely a stretch. FWIW, I've seen the Garbage set trade 3:1 for silver wax BM and for red wax BM a handful of times on FB.

Thoughts on Assassin '19 + BA Sump '19 for Blanton's SFTB + ?

I'd be on the Assassin side and what size plus should I be asking for (if any)?

I've tried Assassin '19 1:1 with SFTB with no luck so trying something different.

Looks like BBT3 is going for a little less than the 2. What would I need to add to land a SR71 B2?

 

My guess is that your biggest difficulty is finding someone that has one and wants to trade for something other than Lambik or whiskey.

 

Is 3 going for less because of quality (obviously they are all high quality so we're really splitting hairs here) or because of availability. Idk the bottle count but they are allowing pickups on more days this year.

 

Assassin is one recipe whereas BBT is a blend of beers to achieve the best beer possible. They don't compare aside from both being BA Stouts.

 

Well they do compare because they both can be traded and have a value, and this is the... trade value thread.

BBT2 value did not go up until after it was released. This was after people had an opportunity to realize how good it was side-by-side to other BA stouts including BBT1. There is only a small sample size of people who have actually tried BBT3 right now. From feedback about how good this is I bet valuation will be similar to BBT2 once it is released (perhaps higher). I just don't see pre-release valuation affecting long term valuation. This is more a reflection of hype. It's going to take some time for people to try it and see how good it really is. FWIW I haven't tried it yet, but look forward to doing so.

 

What kind of trade value do the weathered souls member stout bottles have? Looking to acquire a couple
