Trade Value Thread (2019)

Just curious, you've never had it and you're considering trading it? Why not just drink it since you traded for it in the first place? If so, I'll never understand that, but to each their own.

As for the important stuff, it was 1 pp, 375ml, $30. I had it last year and thought it was excellent.

IMO, I think Flora straight up could get done. Especially if you found someone who missed Norma Elderberry and vice versa. I don't think it could/should get multiples of Vera Mae. I've had that a couple of times this year, wonderful. Same with CDs unless it's "lesser" ones.

All that said, for me these all fall into the category of my point with Flora. If someone missed it, you could do it straight up. Maybe 1:1+, but not multiples. The limits on the beers you mention are never really very high, bigger bottle size (matters to some), and same price and in some cases more expensive (Flora, CDs).

I had regular Norma recently and expected to like it more. I though it was a solid beer but a bit to acidic for me. I generally like berry beers and the Elderberry version seemed promising. It was a side beer in the trade. With it being a more limited beer, trading it for something I will for sure enjoy seemed like a reasonable option too. If it goes for 1:1 with a random CD, i will happily open it. If I can get a Flora B7, I may take that trade. Appreciate your feedback!

 

Anybody have any insight into weather Forager Pastry lace or Dribbles would go 1:1 with Maman? Haven’t seen anything on either of these.

 

Would 2 BCBS Reserve Rye with some other decent plus go for 1 '19 Assassin or 1 Hill Farmstead Aaron?

 

I think Assassin is just too limited and sought after to land with Reserve Ryes. Aaron on the other hand would likely be possible, dependent on the plus. A barrel-aged Revolution can as a plus, for example, would give you a great chance at getting the trade done. Good luck!

 

Aaron is easier to trade for than Assassin in general, so I would think your offer is good there. But I doubt you'd be able to trade for an Assassin '19 (and that's not just because Assassin '19 is my avatar )

 

Good to know about Aaron. Would subbing a 19 Prop for one of the Reserve Ryes get more in the ballpark or is Assassin just to limited/sought after?

 

Assassin '19 is limited for sure, and even though your Prop '19 will get you closer I think you're still short. People seem to be holding on to their Assassin '19 bottles a lot more tightly than many expected, and a bigger bottle will be required to pull one. So basically what I'm saying is, you're going to need a bigger anchor. An even $4$ (on secondary... and I hate secondary valuation) doesn't matter that much if you're trading multiple bottles for one bigger one, but I don't think the Prop '19 + Reserve Rye (and I'm assuming that another plus bottle would be smaller than Reserve Rye) gets you to $4$ even. I would think you'd need something like a Double Barrel BCBS bottle to draw some attention, or multiple Prop '19s.

I have neither an Assassin '19 bottle nor Prop '19, so I have no vested interest... just putting that out there so that you don't think I'm trying to drive up value of Assassin '19. I had two bottles of Assassin '19, I drank one and traded the other for Bourbon Barrel-Aged Dark Lord '19 1:1.

 

I’m looking for Shared Coconut Vibes b2. I have 2 BCBS Reserve Ryes and a BCBS 2 Year Reserve. Would I need all three to get this done? Or am I short?

 

What level of Cantillon would be a fair ask, 1 for 1, for either Michter’s 10 bourbon or rye? Thanks

Anyone know if HF Six Years has moved at all recently? How much would I have to add for something like Clover b2?

 

A guy I traded with in August said he had sent a gts 18 for a clover b2, six years, and Damon. Clover being the anchor.

I think you would still need to add. Something around a Flora b7, or two b8.

Six years is a great and interesting beer, but not heavily sought after.

Would Damon '19 get me a Coconut Crown? I'm on the Damon side.

 

Should get one easily, possibly two with a small plus on your end.

 

Could possibly get 1:1, but think you may still need a small plus, something in the realm of a less sought after flora variant

 

Not much over costs. The 2016 mags are still available in stores and was a much better year.
