Traded a 1:1 TG Stout Hawks for a '19 2 yr Reserve BCBS today. Feel that was about right.

Coming from the man with the special abt 12 in the avatar. Love it. I haven't seen those in awhile. I think I grabbed one like 7 years ago, held on to it past it's "best buy" date and it looked infected but tasted wonderful. Have they came out with another one of those special tin ones more recently?

If I wanted to do IP trade in the Chicagoland area, I was wondering what I could ask for for my DB BCBS and Reserve Rye. I’m specifically looking for non-distro deep woods Rev cans. I guess I’m just not sure how many would be fair...4? 6?

It'll depend a bit on which cans you're looking for. VSOJ trades way higher than any others. Your two bottles would get you 4 or 5 VSOJ. You'd probably get 7 or 8 VSOR. If you're looking for others (Ryeway and variants, Deth By fruited variants), the number would be even higher -- probably 10 to 12.

It's too early to know the value of the ones that just got released today, but I'd be surprised if they end up any higher than VSOR.

Looking for some guidance on trading Hill Farmstead beers for the following BCBS variants- 2 year Reserve, Reserve Rye, Double Barrel, and Prop 19. Here is what I have: BA What is Enlightenment , CD 27 and Twilights of the Idols. Could also offer Tree House cans and other NE cans, such as Trillium and Alchemist. What's the 1:1 on the HF bottles? I would like to close IP in Massachusetts, but realize shipping would be an easier close regardless of ratios.

New trader here. Have an opportunity to pick up some vintages of Dark Lord. Thoughts on value? Do DLs hold up over time? Vintages back to 2010 on the table.

Taste wise: my first dark lord ever was a 2010 and I liked it quite a lot. So I’d say that they do hold up well

**edit** to clarify: I had this 2010 earlier this year, so if was almost 9 years old when I had it.

Agree with this. Went to an epic stout tasting at a friend's house in Baltimore some years ago, and there were 7 vintages of DL, as well as several special ba variants. I think the oldest DL was 7 or 8 years old and it was still terrific.

If you decide to pass on this, shoot me a beermail. I'd definitely be interested.

^^ I'm with these guys. I had an 09 this year and it was terrific. I will say the last couple fingers of the bottle was sludgy. So just decant or pour slowly as you near the end if the bottle

I know nothing of trade value however I would say dribbles was by far my favorite forager stout this year. It was mapley and delicious, I could pour it on pancakes daily. Pastry lace was great as well.

Just completed a trade of KBBS '19. I received the following:

    BBT B1
    '18 BA Abraxas
    '19 BL Fundamental Theorem
    '17 Jackie O's Appervation

Fed Ex tried hard to screw up the delivery (3 days late in freezing cold temps) but we got it done.

I'm impressed. That's a lot to give up for a bottle of KBBS (I would never have made this trade - I'd like to try KBBS some day, but I don't want a bottle that badly).

I'd say you got a hell of a deal.

I am not super hip to the market right now, but this feels above average.

I have 26 bottles in cellar dating back to 2011. They have always been excellent regardless of age for me.

Out of curiosity where did this trade take place, here on BA or somewhere else? Thanks

Any thoughts on what 3F Schaerbeekse Kriek goes for? Is this BAA level or is it something lower like Morning Delight?
