Honestly, no one would really care what @SierraNevallagash does if he didn't proselytize on every post and then turn around and do the opposite. There is a whole $4$ forum for people who don't believe in secondary. It is the fierce judgement and hypocrisy that bothers me. Other's may share your view on secondary vs $4$, but they aren't hypocrites and jerks.

 

This wasn't a fight until you came in vehemently insisting and rambling how there is no merit to what anyone else has observed in your actions. If you want this to be "fun," take a few steps back.

He already agreed to a non-$4$ trade, which is the exact concept he spent an essay vilifying. It doesn't matter how over-generous the other trader was beyond the cursed agreement.

No, I have no connection to the guy, but I know the bottle has significant sentimental value to him, and yeah, I'd like to see him get one.

What would you have done in that situation? Even you yourself told me that the offers were fine and not to worry about it, after I told you directly that I felt like I got too much and was quite guilty for getting such a big box for it. I didn't do anyone any favours, but I certainly wasn't greedy. It's not like Bardus was the only thing I sent. Didn't I also tell you I wanted to send both of them a second thank you box? What should I have done in that situation?

I believe when you originally posted your Bardus you had bottles in mind you were looking for. I don’t believe you should feel bad/guilty if you’re trade was satisfied and both parties were comfortable with it. For me, it’s the way you go about it and rationalize it or not depending on how it fits your situation.

It comes down to the agreed upon trade. Bardus for BAA or Cable car, etc., then they tossed in extras whether that was discussed or not. So those don’t really count as part of the agreed trade.

You said you didn’t only send Bardus. So, the other stuff you sent agreed as part of the trades bottles or random extras to round out the box?

We aren't enemies or anything. We just don't know each other, and I think he took issue with me after the whole BT debacle, as many people did. Nevertheless, he shared a personal,story with me about why the bottle means something to him, and I'd still like to see him get it. There's no reason he shouldn't. I have nothing against him, and if I can help him, then I'd like to.

Basically, yes. Much like my recent post, I had a huge list of interests, with no specific demands or ratios, therefore, I had some very wide offers. The only thing that gives me comfort is that both traders said they're happy with it. I respect that viewpoint. I still feel a bit bad about it, but you're right. That's a healthy attitude.

 

Curious on where WLW trades? Considering BBTb2 as an anchor. I know I’d probably need to add; would something like a MT Espresso Macaroon do it? Or am I in need of another plus? Unfamiliar on how beer trades for bourbon.

Has anything closed for TWCP Maman since the last post in 2018? A friend who isnt on here has one and asked me what they trade for.

 

Most recently I saw one go for BBT b2+ BA Coco vibes+Mornin vibes+ Ambiente, also saw one offered plus BBT3 for Ann that didn't close.

I haven’t completed a trade in about 3 years, but used to trade some on BA and a lot on /rbeertrade when it was around. I moved across the country and quit paying attention and just started buying local stuff, but local now includes deGarde.

I’m a bit gun shy about trading since I’ve been disconnected so long, but I’ve still got a handful of beers I need to drink.

So, I’m curious if my various bottles of deGarde can be combined to entice anyone, and if so, what kind of ratios I’d be looking at.
