I'm a big fan of all things Fremont. I know they released B4K recently but haven't seen it trade much. How does it trad in comparison to other big BWs

How big of a plus (if any) would I need to add to VSOJ?
I live in STL. Are there any beers from SP/Perennial that would be close to a 1:1?

    Thanks

Once it hits distro it will be pretty easy to get. I'm in so cal and most local total wines / bev mo's got a few cases of brew 3k last year. I actually picked up a full case of brew 3k just to trade last year.

It is being traded locally some, not much movement yet. Reason I think is because Fremont is allowing pick-ups until the end of June, so people are not rushing to pick up their bottles. It has seen minimal distribution so far. The expectations are it will see full distribution "once it is safe to do." Additionally, Fremont said on an Instagram comment it will not be on tavour.

That being said, I think it will fall inline with others of their recent releases - maybe slightly harder to track down than b3k, but should be easier than Fremont 10th. Fremont batches are massive. If you are to offer up a vsoj, I think the b4k side should add.

It should be 2 hypermash for 1 ADWTD can. 2 ADWTD cans closed for a BBT3 a couple times, and 2 perennial BA coffee stouts (similar value to hypermash) closed for 1 ADWTD can

B3K was one of my favorite barleywines last year, assuming b4k will uphold the quality standard set by the previous 3 entries in the series. If you're looking for b4k in trades, the perennial BA coffee stout should be able to get one with and a plus on the b4k side

Speculation around Anabasis b4? It looks like those buying in on Sunday have to purchase 2 sours with it. I rarely ever see Side Project proxies (at least not like the assassin release). Opinions? Anyone see any pre-trading on other platforms?

Looks like around 300 bucks in value. Haven’t seen pre trades as much as pre sales lol.

Yeah lame not like the assassin sale where giving up a bottle sucked but at least you were guaranteed to get a proxy that way.

Would a Rare ‘15 + American Solera Full Sized Candy Bar + American Solera $4$ be enough to get a Maman ‘19 or BBT b3?

Maman 19 absolutely. Possibly BBT 3, but seems when trading up for BBT 3 of late has needed extra "value." Most recent one I saw close was Floodland ToL B2 + Gin Eternity + waxwing. I would have thought ToL B2 + Gin Eternity would have closed.

2 of those should suffice for Maman. All 3 wont get you BBT3. Maman is about half the value of BBT3 as far as I know

Could Maltvin go 1:1 with the recent DO ADWTD?

It closed for assassin 20, and anabasis b4 in the last 24 hours. Both 1:1 trades

I've been offering '19 Assassin 1:1 for KH for a little while now. No movement. Maybe that helps a little. I finally just went ahead and bought one online. That bottle of KH isn't getting any younger!

There's probably not that many bottles around anymore. This is one of those scenarios where secondary pricing doesn't matter much, in my opinion (if you're trying to match secondary $4$).

As for how it's holding up, a generous gentleman poured some for me and another 2 friends of mine at Dark Lord Day 2019.... it was the best pour of anything we had all day. I think it depends on how it's stored and all that too. I also had a full bottle/solo dome myself in 2018 from GI and it was the best barleywine I've had to date.

I’m looking to get some gueze and stone fruit sours to have side-by-side tastings this summer and I’m wondering where some of the similar stuff from deGarde is at in relation.

ISO: Cantillon Gueze, Tilquin Gueze, Lost Abbey DDG, SP Fuzzy, Casey Leaner, any Casey peach/apricot/nectarine beer, Allagash Farm to Face... etc?

FT: The Peach, Nectarine Premiere mainly. Large variety of deGarde could be added.

Am I close on these 1:1?

If I’m way off let me know your opinion.

I think 1:1 is pretty close for most of these. Cantillon Gueuze is gonna be harder to score than Tilquin Gueuze. Leaner and DDG I think you’re going to need to add. Farm to Face side should probably be adding. If you don’t already have 3F golden blend, that’s a delicious one to add to your list (1:1 for a 375 seems about right, don’t think you’ll get a 750 1:1). Good luck!

    I'm interested in trying a 2016 Assassin.
How close would a 2020 Forager Nillerzzzzz get me?
    Thanks!
