Thank you very much for this! Your notes above helped with my decision making for Assassin. Really appreciate you helping a fellow Ba'er out!!

I’ve had FO and Aprrevation before and both, especially the FO18, were really good. Actually have an assassin 20 and hopefully that was worth while trading for. I get not wanting to trade so much for 1 bottle but like most guys here including myself we want to find out for ourselves. If I open sooner than later I’ll let you know. Maybe try getting 1 bigger bottle(anchor) and hopefully it won’t cost so much to trade for an assassin. Good luck

You and I chatted about Blessed a while back too. I finally cracked that open last weekend. Even though I traded a mixer of 12 tired hands milkshake ipas for (1) bottle or about $60.00, i have no regrets. Really enjoy it.

Appervation is a great non-adjunct beer and my palate, like @Affinity description above, was very similar to how i would describe it. So maybe i find a "bigger anchor" and explore the Assassin world then, LOL

Can confirm. Had my first ever Assassin 2 weeks ago (it was a ‘20) and it was full of dark fruit notes with a decent barrel and was very slick, reminded me of Darkness a lot.
    Wasn’t expecting that.

Well then you basically got it for retail, more or less including taxes and shipping. At least for anyone that purchased it on Tavour.

Yes more value but I don't have an idea how much and would venture a guess for the older ones at double the current market price.

Are you looking to trade the old ECBP, or acquire it? I have a friend on a bourbon board, I've asked him if he has an idea of the rough value for you.

Appreciate it. I've accumulated several over the years and was thinking about diversifying or trading up along with other bottles.

In my neck of the woods those anchorage bottles are $65 shelfies at this point.

appreciate it. I have a bottle of OF 150 anniversary. I was asking if you think a straight trade for Stagg or W.L. Weller is a fair asking trade.

It’s going to depend on the batch of OF150, and which Stagg or WLW you are going for, but you are definitely in the ballpark. For example, I think someone would take that in a heartbeat for a 2019 Stagg, which didn’t review well, but is still a very good bottle. (I have one, I think it’s delicious, but of course that’s subjective) WLW might be a tough one though.

But anyways, yes, you are at least in the ballpark for a Stagg.

I appreciate the advice. I have batch 01/03 and 03/03 of the OF 150. So hopefully somebody will be intrigued for a Stagg trade. Thanks for the help!

You will need a good plus w/ your OF 150 to get a GTS (even a '19, which is the lowest-valued year). WLW is nowhere near 1:1 — it is roughly double the value of GTS. Good luck and hope you land what you're looking for!

I stand corrected. Though I have seen those OF 150 going pretty high, so I still think the right person does a GTS 19. WLW though, as this poster mentioned, will require significantly more.

Will be trading up my one KBBS once it's released. Kinda my first time having a 'whale.' But I hope to do a quantity trade for multiple solid beers of lesser value. Note sure what the value of KBBS is?

Been thinking along the lines of:
    Arthur Puncheon
    BA Dorothy
BA Everett or other HF BA stouts/porters
Cantillon seasonals (St. Lam, Vig, Iris, etc)
Chaos Grid or other solid BA MT stouts
    BA CSV
    Coconut Medianochie
    Maman
    BAA
    Forager Base Camp
    Holy Mountain Hand of Glory
    Brew 4000
    Anabasis
BA dark lord variants (probably very off on those?)
    Etc. etc.

Am I off when asking for 4-6 bottles based on secondary value or will I be attacked with pitchforks? Appreciate your input.

Depending on which bottles, you should easily get more than 4-6. For example KBBS is worth more than Arthur puncheon, BA Dorothy, BA Everett, and a cantillon seasonal. Start talking about some others on the list and 4 might be closer, maman, anabasis, etc. Also, def could get some dark lord variant(s) depending on which ones. You can get any dark lord variant you want, just a matter of which one you want if you can get multiples.
