Correct!!! I asked what value of ETL was on this thread - I received a response that said Handjee or KBBS. I then asked ETL + Yama12 for SR-71, and received feedback to go for it. So I posted an ISO! So spot on... I posted based on the "precise advice I asked for!" Then after I posted someone came in and said Maman instead of Handjee. And I kept my original ISO up. And then the trolls came out. So, to you too, what are you talking about?? And why do you care??

Just to put a finer point on this for the non-trolls following along at home:
-- I ask for trade values of ETL at 6:30pmCT and received feedback it's worth Handjee or KBBS and ETL + Yama12 for SR-71 at the same time -- feedback was to go for it.
-- I posted in ISO forum just before 8:00pmCT
-- Someone posted in this thread value of ETL as Maman around 8:30pmCT, I didn't pull my ISO
-- Trolls emerge and freak out, and we're 15 hours in now!!! All about a trade request that impacts exactly zero people.

Just a few thoughts based on some of the recent posts:
    • Often it takes a day or two in this thread to get consensus community feedback. While the first response is usually helpful, it’s not always spot on and I think getting good feedback takes patience
    • We need to be able to take input from the community, even if it’s not what we want to hear. Personally, I’d much rather know my offer is crap than waste my time posting a trade that either never will happen, or perhaps worse, post a trade that accidentally makes me look like I’m trying to low-ball someone
    • As much as VRUs and other metrics can be helpful in quantifying value, at the end of the day there is no set offer that will be guaranteed to close. We’re dealing with real people rather than just dollar amounts. Having a good reputation, being respectful, and relationships matter too. Lots of factors at play here
    Cheers folks!

.... Also. Do your own research on valuations. They change frequently. Just because the consensus of people in the trade value thread say its a good deal doesnt mean it gets done in the real world. Whomever told you that a elmer for a bvdl or a elmer and a yama12 would land a sr71 doesn't have a grasp of the values.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic. I should heed my own words that it doesn’t translate well to the interwebs. More poking fun at the off base use of the term in this thread.

For the record I was the one that told him if I had an Elmer I’d want at least handjee. Keep in mind handjee was just traded for two BCBS variants that will widely be available on Friday nationwide.

So perhaps it is you sir that doesn’t have a good grasp on values if you don’t think Elmer can land handjee.

I also never said Elmer +Yama 12 WOULD land SR- 71. I said you’ve been asking a lot of value questions and it only takes one person to say yes. So go for it and if you get crickets so be it. (I did not tell him to ask for Ann lol)

Just wanted to clear that up. Cheers!

I dont know the deal your referencing but im guessing it was one where someone was offering the handjee and probably closed immediately? That wouldnt prove your value point. Cheers

Can see why there was confusion. Here's a second opinion on your original Trade Value post. ETL can land a Maman. ETL might need a small plus to land Handjee. You'd probably need ETL + Yama 12 to land a KBBS.

To land a SR-71, you would need much more. It was a pain in the ass for me to get one, I had to trade my BBT4 package + CBC Maman for one with a couple small pluses on their side.

Not trying to troll or hate on your posts, but helps to hear different opinions. You can always shoot your shot, but the post you had was pretty off in my opinion.

I assume this was for SR-71 batch 2? I was trying like hell to land a batch 1 and I threw the moon at it with crickets in return.

Correct. SR-71 b2. Batch 1 will take MUCH more than what I offered haha.

    .
I threw like 1300 secondary a few months ago. Not a conversation. But perhaps it was the stuff I was offering?

Tough to gauge with too much accuracy at this point but from what I’ve seen (and based partly on past sets): roughly 250 in secondary. Always settled lower locally and higher nationally. I would be surprised if the Coconut didn’t have more standalone value given past ANTEADs. Will have to wait on reviews to see how other individual ones pan out.

What's the going rate on the recent batches of CC El Catador beers? Just to get an idea based on beers I'm familiar with:
How many would go back for something big like Maman?
Are they close to 1:1 with limited distro Fremont such as B3K or would someone need a plus? Thanks for your input

This is yet to be determined. You’d be surprised how challenging it has been for people even in Chicagoland to secure a Birthday or Anniversary in the run up to Black Friday. Don’t be surprised if these stay ‘high’ value or even go higher. Handjee on the other hand seems to be slooowly going down over the years. It’s a challenging bottle to acquire still but nothing like ‘16 and prior years.

El Cat should be super highly regarded but there's no desire for them anymore, CCB has lost the hype. Again, they're second to none in just about any barrel aged stout, strong ale and barleywine game, I even wish I'd kept my membership sometimes despite hassling my aunt to pick up for me, but you're not going to get anything over cost. The recent Apple Brandy Huna might get some eyeballs though.

I asked because I have a lot of desire to try some of their new stuff. I've loved their barleywines in the past and the fact that everyone else is sleeping on them should make it easier to get. Thanks

For real, I've been jonesing for all their recent barleywines. I think the population of folks that have been trading El Cat has dwindled since the round before last. A lot of people jumped ship because they weren't getting the Huna variants they signed up for, which I personally feel aren't even close to their best stuff.

I'm sure you'll be able to find more than reasonable trades you can line up for Fremont. I'd expect more of a 1:2 in your favor for the B3K, but it might not feel great to the CCB side. If you can throw in some Dark Stars, Rusty Nails or the like, you'd probably be able to get a wider selection. HotD or Pelican bottles might be nice pluses. Holy Mountain and Floodland are obviously going to get you real favorable ratios.

Anyone know of the trade values for Horus Plume Ruffled and Kentucky Dosed? Hopefully I am in the right place for this question. I normally just trade via ISO:FT on instagram so I have no idea what they are worth trade-wise.

    Cheers!
