I am looking to trade for an Anabasis and have looked back through this thread but still am unsure on it's value.
Would B3K + BCS Anniversary + BCS 2 Year Reserve be in the range? Too much? Too little?
Any particular year that is worth asking for for Anabasis as well?

I would say that's close. Post it up to see what happens? May need another small plus? Maybe not?

Do you guys think Kentucky Dosed, Plume Ruffled, and a little plus is enough for either of these?

I dont know about that one. There is always going to be a bourbon tax. Especially when the trend is bourbon values keep increasing and beer values drop a couple months after release.

Yeah but what is the exact bourbon tax? Is this a universal %? Nope. What I'm saying is slack posted trades based on his perception of bourbon tax. Bourbon tax is whatever the person trading the bourbon for wants.

I've made trades with folks that I paid up to $200 over in bourbon tax and I have had trades that were even with secondary. The examples slack gave was biased based on his perceived bourbon tax.

I know this is the wrong thread but I don't know the right thread..

Can someone recommend some black walnut stouts? The only one I know of Jackie O’s Oil of Aphrodite Imperial Walnut Stout and its multiple BA variants. Anything cheaper but similar either BA or not? I'm specially looking for walnut.

Afraid I don’t know of any, but I recommend posting in Beer Talk. I think that gets the most eyeballs for a general question like this. Good luck in your hunt!

Looking to trade for Fellowship of Xul Bananarama and wondering if these options are close, too little or much, not really sure where it is trading/closing for.

P3 Curvature B6 (with a plus or need to add?)
    Prop 18, 19, or 20
Rev Deep Woods cans like DBVSOD + Mindshaft Gap + Deth by Cherries

    Thanks in advance for feedback.

Transient is releasing its F- black walnut and cinnamon stout. Think it has vanilla also. Last year was lots of cinnamon, so not sure if that’s up your alley, but I’d recommend giving it a try.

I have backyard rye, can it trade for EH Taylor small batch? Or is it closer to 2:1?

I agree that my valuation has bias as it includes bourbon tax. I don't believe this tax applies to everyone (as you kindly noted) but it appears that those with more desirable bourbon are looking for more than the secondary values in beer.

I refrained from posting secondary values but as a point of clarification to this discussion, I feel it would be beneficial to further understand my assessment and facilitate discussion.

    Lot B 615-685
    GTS / ORVW 570-640
    EHTBP 370-410

Now that being said, there have been a couple of trades for BBT to bourbon, GTS 19 (475-525) and FR SMBLE (360-400) as well as KBBS. All things being equal and value of KBBS equaling BBT B4, that gives KBBS a floor around 360 and a ceiling around 525. It would seem with OP's comment of including a nice plus that the GTS 19 range is an outlier/right set of eyes. More so, my assessment was likely low for GTS/ORVW and might be more in line with 1.75 KBBS.

    Thoughts?

Was wanting to get some feedback on how close a Willett 6yr 11 month bourbon would be to a 2020 GTS. Appreciate any thoughts thanks

Friend is looking to move some bottles - DB BCBS, Myster8, and Prop '20. I asked him what he wants and he said east coast or west coast haze, or Suarez lagers. I told him he'd probably get a metric ton for those beers and should probably think a little bigger. Any decent bourbon that those bottles would pull? I know this is pretty open ended, but I'm trying to help him narrow down and focus here. Thanks for your thoughts.

Bourbon valuations are booming like crazy. Tried a few offers on Samuel B2 which is 2 VR units for Lot B and then ORVW with pluses and got crickets. A year ago it would've closed pretty easily, IMO. Anything Buffalo Trace is just now a statement piece bourbon to collectors.

How do trade values get set for brand new possible hyped stouts, like for instance the EQ Double Barrel collab with BL that just went on sale this morning? Curious what "sets the market" when something is brand new like this and not just a normal yearly release.

When someone puts their bottle up for sale on MBC.

In all seriousness, limited/retail, 1 per @ $30, find a like minded trader.

Vr units arent what they used to be. Would probably take 4 vr for a old rip now. Even a year ago 2 wouldn't have done it.
