    Hi all,

    I have a 10th Anniversary Sam Adams Utopias that I’m having a difficult time getting a fair value assessment on. Anyone have any idea? And when requesting comparable trade value, do you use retail or aftermarket pricing?

    It depends on the beer of course, but most members in this forum quote after market value when discussing trade value.

    As for your bottle of Utopias, Internet pricing is all over the map. Prices seem to range between $500 and $1800 for a bottle.

    It's more helpful to use aftermarket (or "secondary") pricing here. However, there isn't much secondary value for Utopias, if any. They go for between 200-250 which is roughly cost.

    b1 Utopias used to have some secondary and the precursor to Utopias, Millennium,is a ghost whale with secondary value

    I fell into FOMO and hype for a while. If a brewer is selling a bomber for $40, isn’t it worth $40? The brewery sees $40, so why should a guy like me who might travel 70 miles and sit in a line for four hours get to upsell that $40 into $500+? This is why I’m $4$ usually. Baking in gas and some scarcity tax is one thing, but 10x or more cost? If that’s the case, the brewery should sell the hype beers at hype cost directly.

    I had double pear Leto. I get to flex? Oh yeah. How much harder can I flex having drunk unreleased peach Leto? Oh, my nads are so engorged right now.

    What’s a DM? I need that. I just want to get a couple DBVSOJ. I had them in my Tavour crate but didn’t want to make another Erie trip (no local carrier). $34 and a road trip and they would have been mine. I did get 6 Boss Ryeways though. Those are worth what, $400?

    No bottle, on tap. I didn’t do the luau VIP thing for one bottle. That seemed nuts.
