So last week I posted the first BA TVT (trade value tuesday) and promised I'd put one up again this week.

The guidelines for this are the following:
    1. Under no circumstances should cash value, offers to exchange cash for beer, offers to exchange beer for cash, offers to exchange cash for prime grade A sirloin or really anything involving cash at all be mentioned. This will lock the thread immediately and you will be shamed. If you have to use a reference, I would recommend the gold standard of RVRU (relative vanilla rye units)
    2. Don't be vague. No one really knows if you're ISO or FT. No beer has a singular value, so asking "what can I get with X?" will result with a million answers. "What does it take to land Y?" Again please help give us an idea of what you have FT or where about you're at to give an idea of locals, etc.
    3. The purpose of this thread is to help users out and introduce some dialogue and conversation into the merits of a particular proposed trade. It is meant to help users new and old and be a bit more dynamic than the "completed trades" section.
    4. Have fun with this!

The idea is to post a specific ISO:FT and get feedback and facilitate a more open dialogue about trades

I'll go out on a limb here and go first. I have honestly no idea if this is ballpark for either, but it will at least get the ball rolling.

    ISO: FT
Rare 2015 : Bottle Logic - Spice must flow + Upland Pear Pawsterous

    OR

    ISO: FT
Regal Rye : Bottle Logic - Spice must flow OR Upland Pear Pawsterous

    Way to get things started!
Rare is always tough because of the high price tag to begin with so it seems to pull higher level BL stasis bottles like FO et cetera.
Regal is probably closer to the tier of spice must flow but think would require a + on the spice side (nothing too crazy) to get things rolling.
I never have any idea how to rate uplands stuff. Super tasty but I don't see too many ISOs for whatever reason

Which side would need a plus here? Or does 1:1 sound right?

    Central waters Black Gold 2016
    For
New Glarus R&D 2014 wild peach

Those are pretty darn close I would say. You could perhaps ask for a small + on the BG side but wouldn't be anything worth writing home about I wouldn't think

    What about:

BA Vanilla Shake : Pugachev Royale

Pretty close again, probably a bit short on the BA shake side. Additionally some venn diagram issues (ie most people with puga royale probably have access to BA shake too) that might make it tough. Not as familiar with these though so would welcome others feedback

Thanks. The BA Shake is the Lervig (Norway) version, not the SD version if that makes a difference

I am curious others thoughts, but it seems like Assassin 18 should be Prop 14 and a solid plus (something on the order of FO, Rare 15, etc.).

Haha prop 15 was gonna be easy.
Depends on the batch of DB huna.
B1 is probably about even with assassin 18, B2 is significantly short
I agree Prop 14 needs a pretty good + somewhere in the realm of FO or even a bit higher

Was there a significant quality difference between DB Huna b1 vs. b2 or is it just a higher bottle count?

B2 had higher bottle count by a bit but the consensus (I think) is that B2 fell significantly short of B1.

Since nobody else seems to be posting examples I’ll fire away. Not used to valuing bottles this big so this has already been a good learning experience.

What about Assassin ‘18 vs. Black Tuesday Reserve?

Ugh the bruery just gets no love. BTR is an excellent beer that trades significantly below Assassin and even Prop 14. I would say that prop 14+BTR should get you and assassin pretty quick though.

Black Tuesday Reserve is way lower in value from what I've seen. Close to FO. The only issue with the BT Reserve is that there doesn't seem to be that many out there that are exchanging hands, so I suspect that in terms of value vs. what it would take, it might take closer to a FO and a solid plus.
