Trade Value Thread (April 2018)

CAn we just lock it every Wed morning like how that is done for WBAYDN, and other daily or weekly threads? I think if it stays open it will eventually just be ignored. Heavy traffic every Tuesday should provide more welfare I would think.

Background: I'm inquiring for a friend who has 3 Dark Lord variants: BADL 17, Ronaldo 17 and Dia Oscuro. He wants to trade them for some standard release Other Half NE hops. He really didn't know what would be 'fair' as far as quantity so he asked for my opinion. Since I am a huge DL variant fan and would never trade them for hops, I really didn't know what to tell him. Can anyone else provide some thoughts on what would be fair?

 

I don’t know how much this helps... but I traded away a 2015 BC Rare for 2 Juice Machines + 12 regular treehouse. This was with a regular trade partner, so I don’t know (or care) how close the “value” of this trade was

 

^^ I forgot to add (and can’t edit now) that this was right after Chicago saw a big drop of 2015 Rare and it was a shelf turd with a big price tag for about 6 weeks

I’ve got an Aaron b3 and see an offer for a Big Poppa. I’d like to try Big Poppa but wondering if this is an even trade? Would it be inappropriate to ask for a j. Wakefield or Angry Chair + on the Big Poppa end?

Would think he could get 36-48 cans of OH for each of those beers. Issue would be the cost of shipping those beers would be a lot. But he may find someone who would do it

Would either side add to a BA Sump for Bourbon Dark lord? If so can you give me some ideas of what plus(es)?

 

I would think you'd have to add on the BA Sump side. I've seen many times BA Sump trade with a small + for VR, and VR isn't able to fetch a BADL. Trust me, I've tried.

As to what you'd have to add to BA Sump... that I don't really know.

 

36-48 seems very high to me, though maybe there is someone out there that would do that trade. I did a trade for 6 OH for Quit Hitting Yourself (I was on the OH side); I may have got a good deal for the QHY, but would think that would be more along the lines for the Ronaldo, and probably more than that for the BADL

The guidelines for this are the following:

Under no circumstances should cash value, offers to exchange cash for beer, offers to exchange beer for cash, offers to exchange cash for prime grade A sirloin or really anything involving cash at all be mentioned.
