Trade Value Thread (Q1 2021)

I've been seeing around 1VR to 1.25vr

 

What’s are examples of a single bottle of whiskey that should trade 1:1 with KBBS?

All things considered, secondary, bourbon tax etc.

I’m not going to Decorah anytime soon, Trying to get an idea of a bourbon I might be able to get lucky on that might trade 1:1.

Not sure where values are at now, but I traded my member bottle for a Stagg Jr. (Batch 14 I think) in Sept. 2020. So based on that I'd think you'd be short by a decent amount. Other's can provide more data points, but as someone with 2 more bottles I likely plan on drinking them unless something really peaks my interest. I think it's a fantastic beer.

 

Is there somewhere i can look on here to see what all these bourbon and whiskey abbreviations are? Lol.

Also, is basil hayden 10 year a pretty easy bottle to get? I know certain bottles are not sold in all areas/states. I have one and was thinking i could add it into a trade but honestly have no idea if its a waste of time if anyone can just get it for themselves.

 

Deal with the Devil TO ($100, dropped today on Tavour and sold out in 7mns) and DwtD DO Vanilla ($70, dropped a week or so ago) - both limit 1. I haven’t seen any trade offers for these yet; I’m really curious what these go for, or if people just drink them because they’re limit 1? These are a couple fun bottles to speculate on how they’ll trade ... thoughts?

that bottle is around 1 VR unit , probably a little more. From what I have seen, EHT small batch should be going for msrp, but usually goes for more like $50. I think you would need a bigger anchor to get that member bottle. maybe start with a bigger EHT bottle like single barrel.

I agree with @Slack that it is a little over half a vru. At release it was between 1-1.5 vru, but has slowly declined.

 

Looked at some closed trades on FB, and it did trade 1:1 for eht small batch about eight weeks ago. Six weeks ago traded for a stagg Jr.

I think the eht 1:1 is somewhat of an outlier. I tend to see eht small batch on shelves for around $50. The stagg Jr 1:1 would be in line with other trades I have seen completed. Equating to a little over half a vru.

If you add a "lower" level angry chair bottle, you could probably see some traction.

How would a regular Blantons line up with things like. W12, WFP, Willett 6 year+, JD BP rye, smoke wagon uu, etc. obviously multiple, just don’t know what ratios would look like.

would love to hear other thoughts that would be 1:1 or 1:2 (2 Blantons) as well since there is so much stuff out there. Thanks

 

What’s it looking like for DoT AYFR? Thinking it could go 1:1 with DBBCBS or would I need to add? I’m on DBBCBS side
