those are each worth about double retail at least if not more. Most of the country it’s tough to get WSR and EHT sb. Bourbon is crazy right now

new batch of LUN this year. Haven’t seen any movement. Starry B1 is that probably 450 ish or KBBS with a plus in value. AB huna b1 is probably too old to taste good at this point but if you can find one with good provenance it’s probably 200-400ish. VBA 2 is probably equal to BBT21

Off topic... what was the reason for switching to beer-only trading?

Long story short. Beer Advocate means beer trading. We can talk about other beverages but can not trade them.

To add to this: Seems like BA trading quickly devolved into “ISO Whiskey” trading. As someone that never has whiskey (and never had the beer to land whiskey), I certainly closed fewer trades during that time. Beer trading certainly feels more alive now than before, although there were more trade posts at that time. If there had been much more ISO beer, I don’t think that it would have gone back to beer only.

It's probably around the 150-175 range if I were to guess, but it may be more since it's an old whale at this point and there's way less out there. I was able to trade for one last December, traded an MT Ultra Set + A Thousand Summers for ManBearPig + FFb1.

Aaaaannnnddd? How was it? Trading for old vanilla is always a gamble. OG Vanilla (BCBS) held up well, but I am sure it was better fresh. I’m curious how FF held up.

Haven't drank it yet, nor the ManBearPig. I save most of my whales for shares, but I have too many beers to share, so not sure when I'd ever get around to it. I'm guessing it probably won't be that good, most beers just aren't as good after a couple years.

B6K is finally starting to show up here in PDX. My local has it for $28 a bottle (no sales tax here in Oregon), with no purchase limits it appears. I'm planning to head over today to pick up 4 bottles, but I suppose I could grab a few more at the store today if necessary.

How comparable is the value of WeldWerks Medianoche Reserve, Coconut, and Birthday to Voodoo Black Magick releases?

I know that's broad, but am I way off on 1:1? Any lower value Black Magick's (or conversely, high value ones I should avoid obliviously asking for?)

Are Other Half IPA's and Imprint sours sought after? Getting crickets on a post for Monkish, North Park, and Green Cheek. Do the breweries I am seeking demand something else (Fidens, Root+Branch, etc.)?

OH IPAs aren’t particularly sought after given their wide distribution (and there are simply far less people trading for IPAs these days).

Imprint sours have a pretty passionate but small following of people who want them… but these people are more likely to just want to buy them rather than trading Monkish etc for them.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you’re probably wasting your time with that one.

You might have better luck, even, trying to trade Human Robot traditional styles or Forest & Main saisons for those hops as far as local options go.

Weldwerks are generally going to be a little short of Black Magicks given the former’s availability via proxy (might be exceptions with certain more coveted releases). You’d likely have much more luck trying to go 3:2 or similar.

I would think Reserve and maybe birthday would be 1:1 with recent BM bottles. Maybe some local cans as a plus on your side?
