Your base trade should be able to get it done.

 

Looking to land packs of Heady Topper for a bottle of Fundamental Observation. Not quite unit for unit, but will plus units on top of base trade. Is that too easy of a trade for Heady Topper? I suspect HT is easier to procure nowadays. Can a HT trade be lured for less?

Heady is fairly easy to come by these days. I am sure you would be able to get a deal done for a FO. How many cans depends on which batch of FO and the right set of eyes.

 

Trying to set something up come November for Thanksgiving. Headed to Bottle Logic Brewing today to pick up an allotment of Of Sight and Mind. Their first version of BBA Barleywine. Maybe that can buff up a deal. I'm just trying to gather perspective and ideas at the moment.

I suspect Heady is even more scarce during the Holiday season, or the lines longer. As with most, the key for me is freshness.

 

If you can get someone who is local to the brewery I don't think 2 four packs of heady for 1 FO is unreasonable, that's pretty close to $4$ - especially if you offered to pay shipping or throw in a small extra. Pretty sure it's available there year round

 

I'm ISO Barrel Theory Threat Level Midnight. FT is Northwoods, 17 BCBCS, and 17 BCBBW, and I'm thinking I'll need to add another bottle (14 BCBBW, BA Silhouette, Abraxas perhaps). This will be IP Twin Cities. Is this close?

 

Anyone have any input on Kane 1095 Cognac (silver wax)? Obviously not many out there, but any input on value would help, even relative to other Kane stuff.

 

Calling all Whiskey traders:

How do samples work in trades? Is the value of a sample relative to the trade value?

So, let's just assume I wanted a sample of someone's shelf-bourbon (say, a 4 roses store pick), and it was $50 for a 750 retail. If I wanted a 2oz sample, would that just be roughly a $4 sample if I was going to match it $4$ with beer? (750ml = 25.3oz; 25.3oz = 12.68 2oz samples. Therefore $50 retail/12.68 2oz samples = approx. $4/2oz sample)

If this is true, does this translate the same way with more rarer whiskey? Like, Suppose a rarer bottle was 1:1 with a VR. Would someone trade me a 2oz sample for beer valued at roughly 1/12 that of a VR?

Or are samples valued higher?

 

Definitely seems close. I traded away 16 BCBCS + Bourbon Paradise for Threat Level Midnight a couple months ago. I think adding Abraxas would be a really solid offer...you might even be able to just swap out BCBBW for Abraxas.

 

How many VR units for the Bottle Logic DSN Whiskey? Anybody traded for one of these?

 

Awhile back this came up in a trade thread. I seem to recall you could buy it online. Like, at the time of that trade post, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's still available now. I think it was $70. If you're trading, I don't know why it wouldn't go $4$, unless something has changed. (Disclaimer: I may be incorrectly remembering the price. Maybe it was $40. Have not googled.)

So, I guess if they are the only ones selling it, then you would indeed have to trade for it if you do not have anyone available to buy it IP and ship it to you.

 

0 idea about the value on PIYW, but TSMF last year was I think around 1/4 of a value of a VR. Maybe a tad less - closer to 1/2 the value of a BC Reserve. Course, pumpkin season probably changes that. If they are due to release any additional of these this year (no idea their schedule), you'd probably be best served by waiting for the next release.

Not sure how much that helps, but it's all I know.
