When it comes to peach vs. apricot, peach seems to win out for me, looking at my personal reviews. So I was surprised when I didn't enjoy some of SP's peach sours as much as I'd expected--I actually enjoy their non-fruited sours more.

Considering the PNW region, I guess it's likely no surprise that de Garde's peach sours have been some of the best fruited sours I've ever had. Are the peaches really that much better out that way, or do they (or their cultures) just know how to handle them better?

I need to try the deGarde ones for sure. I definitely prefer peach over apricot generally as well. I do believe that at least for Fuzzy, the peaches are from Missouri. I presume it also depends on if they use yellow or white peaches as well. For apricot sours, I thought Aurelien Lure was way better than La Fosse, but my pour of AdF was in the middle of 20 other beers at the La Fosse release this year and I barely remember how it was.

The Peach b1 from De Garde is still the GOAT peach beer for me ever. I hope the SP fan boys don’t get mad at me for this but fuzzy was just an average/solid beer for me and I’ve even given it away as an extra. Their small format bottles are honestly just way too acidic for me. But man that Raspe was so good and had the perfect acidity. And yes I agree SP makes phenomenal non fruited sours...OF, tete, SdF Pinot, so I’m definitely with you there.

Yes, the acidity was why I didn't like this year's La Fosse so much. It legit hurt as I swallowed it. I mean it had apricot for days, but yeah... I've only had a few de Gardes, but they were awesome. That Special Rouge tasted like pie filling.

I’ve had all their small bottle fruited sours and I just think they were too acidic. I even drainpoured b1 fencerow cause it was hurting me. So I was pleasantly surprised when Raspe was so amazing and perfect. Atrial has always been my top raspberry sour but now Raspe has replaced it. It was just so jammy and you can drink it like juice. If you haven’t had it, you should seek it out.

Aurelian Lure is great, I need to revisit that one soon! I love Jester King so much. Keep your eye out for their peach sour if you're able and haven't had it, Fēn Táo (分 桃) is pretty solid. Their refermentations (like La Vie en Rose, Grim Harvest, Detritivore, Demi-Tone, Synthesis Analogous, Vague Recollection, etc), are sometimes better than their heavier fruited genies. I just recently scored their Aurastone, which is basically re-used spent fruits from both Aurelian and Fen Tao, but with a different approach than their other refermentations. Can't wait to try it.

Agree on Fuzzy, and the acidity, but really looking forward to trying Raspe now!

I missed Raspe, but I had Atrial at the La Fosse release as well and yep, easily the best raspberry beer I've had.

The Fen Tao has actually been on my radar for quite some time, but I just haven't gotten around to trading for it. Hopefully soon, especially with the new batch coming this week.

Would ya look at that, 4 bottle limit this Friday. Might be easier than ever to score a bottle--start putting out feelers!

LOL! The peaches out here are no better than any place else, and are arguably worse (peach season here is pretty short, and the quality is all over the map). Not that I'm any sort of expert, but I think the brewer is simply a wizard when it comes barrel aging sours and a genius when it comes to brewing chemistry. The amount of fruit Trevor is somehow able to cram into his fruited sours is, well, just astonishing.

I wish he would make imperial stone bu again. I think Chez Monus is the greatest beer ever made and that stone bu reminded me so much of it. When it comes to his stone fruits the man is amazing

Well if anyone ever needs JK fruits let me know. I am Texas based and get most of them. Not going to the Fen Tao release but easy to get and I may still have one or two at home, and for me easily the best fruit from JK.

I’m the guy in question who made that offer. The reason is because I closed BAA for 4 FOb4. I’ve seen baa go for 2 VR so that’s why I thought my offer was more than fair. Instead this guy calls me names and puts me on his ignore list. I didn’t know babies were allowed on this site.

BAA for 2 VR's is above average (by a good bit - 2 VRs is approaching BBT territory, and BAA is nowhere near BBT).

Not trying to be a dick, but "seeing it close" doesn't mean we shouldn't be aware that it's an anomaly. It's not like you see that happening every trade. That's above trade value and shouldn't even be on the radar for what a fair trade is, as it doesn't even closely act as the representative trade. Feels like you are admittedly saying that you saw a super high close and tried to piggyback off that despite all other information showing that was an exception.

Thoughts on Red Agnes b3 for Midnight Still '18? I'd be on the RA side.

FOb3 + FOb4 :for: MDb5. I'm on the FO side. If I'm off, how much? :grimacing:

    Seems good to me.

(Note: Not 100% sure where people are placing value of B3, but even if it just above B4 levels I would imagine this would get done no problem.)

    Thoughts on this.

    Bourbon Paradise x 2 for FO B4
    Bourbon Paradise x 3 for FO B3

Also what ratio is appropriate for AB Noir to FO B4 and B3.

Seems right to me. I think you could argue AB noir is similar (maybe a little higher??) than bourbon paradise

They must have made a lot more B3 agnes as its still on shelves some places (in ferndale and outside michigan) from what i've heard. My guess is you'll need a reasonable + to close. I'll also say that were someone to do that trade with MS on their side, they would still be very happy!
