anyone see any change in the original db assassin? Was curious if the new one would have any effect either way on it. although i know pickups are still a few days away so i guess there may not be a ton moving yet.

 

I don’t see a ton of DB go on FB. My valuation is based on MBC. I’ll keep my eye out but it typically goes in the duck races from what I’ve seen and it’s 99 or 100 spots for 10 a piece.

 

This years DB assassin doesn’t get released until 12/31 for dinner guest and then Jan 13-22 for pick ups

 

I don't think b1 will drop much in value since the barrels are totally different, so it's a totally different beer. Also don't think there can be that many left out there now, and those who have it probably plan on keeping it to drink.

 

I have traded some monkish cans recently for some 3F and cantillion but was hoping to maybe do a trade for something a level up from the usual suspects. I hate asking for too much in a trade and i know nothing about the values of the more rare/seasonal bottles so i was just curious if 15 monkish cans could go for a bottle of something like zenne, perzik, schaarbeekse, blaber, 50n. Or if anyone has some suggestions of some other ones i might try for that could help too. Cheers!

 

A lot of those bottles have a wide range in value, but you're in the right ballpark. I'm pretty sure I could get Perzik and Schaarbeekse for like $65 or something at my local store, so I wouldn't trade 15 cans for those, maybe 8-10 cans (I did an IP trade in UK with 8 cans of Monk for Scharbeekse 3 years ago). 50N might require like 16 cans. Blabaer is weird cause it's supposed to be an awful tasting beer but has high secondary since they only release like 100 bottles every batch, so everyone is holding onto theirs and trying to trade up. So unlikely you can land Blabaer with just hops.

Also, Monkish has dropped a good amount in value so it may not be that easy to trade for those bottles in general. Too many ppl making good IPAs now, and if you want Monk, you can just get it on FB or IG for like C+8. You'd have much better luck trading Fiden's or R+B imo.

 

Agree with this - both are much harder to get than Monk at this point. Just the lack of supply compared to Monkish makes them inherently more valuable and (IMO), they're better.

 

Didnt realize r&b was still a hot ticket. Im only 20 minutes away so thats good to know.

 

Less so than before they opened the tap room, I'd say. But definitely still harder to get than Monkish.
