Just came across a couple bottles of North Coast Old Stock 2005 vintage. It's the Cellar reserve that was aged in brandy barrels. Im drinking one tomorrow night. Curious as to to if it would have any trade value.
Yes, it does. I'd be interested, as would many others. What are you looking for? Also, where the hell did you find it?
The Brandy version is definitely more rare than the Bourbon version. I would say that there is interest in these beers, but it depends on how they have been stored. If they have been sitting on a shelf, warm, for the past few years, they may be passed their prime. Throw out a ISO:FT as a feeler. You could probably pull some shelf whales like Cherry Rye and possible brewery only stuff like regular Dark Lord. Great find by the way!
Opened one up last night. A tad oxidized but was pleasantly surprised to how it drank. The nose was absolutely amazing. Thanks for the replies!
I'd say it would go for something pretty hard to find. More than a cherry rye or dark lord. Lots of people would like to try it.
No luck so far. Put up an ISO, Thinking about deleting that one and going a bit smaller. Just want to get some beer that I honestly, wouldn't have a chance to try otherwise. Whats the normal amount of time you leave up an ISO with no hits?
