Hate to post this but need to ensure others are made aware. @Nachos4two posted looking for some glasses which I offered to go to the brewery to pick up for him. As it was glassware I did not use the trading system since I was just looking to help someone out. I sent them out right away as he needed them for a wedding gift. In return he was to send 2 BCBS ($30 a four pack?) to cover the $16 for glasses. Despite receiving them on the 14th of August various excuses were given of shipping his side that week (didn't) and following week (didn't). He finally shipped the following week but the box arrived destroyed, with only one beer making it. The packing was terrible, basically just a piece of bubble wrap laid on top of the package. I contacted him immediately with the information but no real attempt was made at replacing. He claimed he would send out some local stuff shelf to make up for it on the 8th but nothing came of that either. His latest trade also has mixed reviews so trade with caution.....
Jim I do apologize and I have actually shipped your package Saturday and will update when i get home today with the tracking, I do apologize for this and the OP is correct it has taken me entirely too long to get back a replacement!! Events have postponed me from getting out in a timely manner, There is no excuse!! SORRY
That was quick. @Nachos4two $15 for two bottles of BCBS is way too much. If a store charged you that much, don't pass along the gouging to another trader...
That is a lot, but was the norm in my neck of the woods. In fact, $7 was the lowest with $9.99 being the highest. "Gouging" is relative.
No, please keep the thread. Based on the information in this thread people can decide whether they want to trade with him. Bad packing and delayed shipment are warning flags people need to know about.
I agree. OP, by taking the time to post this, you did put it in the public domain. There's information that could be useful to others in the future. Locked, but left here for reference.
