I started a trade with @tvl89 back in May 2013. I sent him 4 packs of Founders Breakfast Stout for some Jester King shelf beers. After sending my package to him he received it said he would have mine out shortly. I didnt hear from him for 6 months. I sent him a final message asking if this trade was ever going to happen. He responded and apologized and said that he had been deployed. I can understand that, told him thank you for the service and when he has an opportunity if he could send a couple jester kings id appreciate it. He disappeared for another 3 months and his last time online was Feb 2014. We are now over 1.5yrs without a package returned. I think its fair to say I have given him enough time before I posted something about it. I dont hold any ill will against tvl89. If he is serving our country I am grateful for it and well the $40 worth of beer is the least I can do to say thank you. I just wanted to give others a heads up that if you have a trade pending or are looking to trade with him be aware of my situation.
I can't stand bad traders as much as the next guy, and it sucks that you are out beer, but at some point there has to be a statute of limitations on these callouts. May, 2013?? C'mon.
Agreed..based on the story the tvI89 provided to the op of this thread..I think it was awesome that that much time was allowed, I would have been on his case much earlier. I definitely want to be aware of those who don't hold up their part of the bargain.. Service or no service that's just wrong..
Yeah...absolute worst case scenario he should have paypaled you for the cost of the beer/shipping and called it even. He did, after all, keep the beer and drank it based on his post history.
