I'm from MI and looking to start trading a bit. Obviously I would ship first for a while to build up a little trust with the community. My question is what beer, that is easily accessible to me, is the best for trading? I normally just buy enough for myself and always buy something new when I go to the store. If I can get an idea what non-Michigan BAs are looking for then I can start to stock up.

Hard to say, because different people will be looking for different things, based on what gets distributed to their own states. I'd recommend you throw up an "ISO: your locals, FT: my locals", suggest some local things you could trade, and see what kind of interest you get.

I think starting small, trading locals for locals, is a great way to build up some trade experience and maybe make regular trading partners as well.

Also use seekabrew.com to see what gets distributed in your state compared to other states. Very helpful tool

I would suggest drinking everything from your state before branching out. You don't know it yet, but your state brews some of the best stuff out there. This is coming from an Ohio State fan, so I can assure you that there is no bias in your favor.

I do know that. I'm about 200 beers into this craft beer journey. I'm not that new. I just started using this site. I didn't just start drinking.

Half of those beers are Sam Adams variants, though......

OP, there is not a ton on the bottle list right now at Kuhnhenns. There will be a big bottle release at the Kuhenhenns Solstice party next weekend.

I have not traded in the last few years, but when I traded I traded Kuhnhenns Raspberry Eisbock and Kuhnhenns 4D almost exclusively. It is very easy to find reasonable trades if you are offering a solid Kuhnhenns bottle
