I'm not neccessarily looking for offers, I was just looking for some feedback on what's the ok thing to do here. I guess asking what the right thing to do is a crime now too! Seems easier for me to just recycle it. If someone really wants it, message me and you can have it if you pay for shipping, I don't want anything in return. I was mainly looking for anything in return because no matter where I ship the empty bottle through FedEx, it's going to cost me $5-10(depending on where in the country it is going). So yeah! If anyone wants it and wants to pay shipping, BM me by 7pm EST or else I'll just toss it in the recycling bin.

There we go, much better, just have someone send you a shipping label if they want it. The original post made it look like the bottle was headed to the bin until you realized you might be able to score some beer with it.

No, its not a crime to ask a question. But in this instance it almost sounds like you're trying to get something for an empty blabaer bottle that you were gonna throw out anyway. That just doesn't sit well with a lot of people here. Like others have already stated/implied, you should've just put out a "FT: Empty Blabaer, ISO: Nothing" and ask the person to pay shipping for the bottle in the first place.

And just to give some insight, I don't know how others feel, but for the most part, only the rarest (read: M, Dave, 1999 Framboos, etc.) empty bottles are worth anything at all.

EDIT: Damn, Hanzo beat me to it.

I would imagine, much like beer trading, that people will value bottles differently...

as someone who saves labels of beers i drink there are definite times where i drink a beer and the opener of the beer wants the bottle/label (yes, there are other label collectors in my group) it is a bummer. yes, i do like to participate in the drinking of the beer that the label is from, but would love the label of a beer i have had even if from a different bottle.

i recently sent a shipping label for an empty of izzy which i have had, but don't have the label for. asking for a single bcbs is about the same as asking for a shipping label, but your best bet it to just ask if anyone wants it and will send a shipping label. empties don't really carry much weight (literally and figuratively) on this site.

No, he needs to send it to Black13. He would FOR SURE SHIT his pants and then cry. Or die. Not sure which.

    Cheers!

It would be funny to fill it with some other blue berry sour and invite a friend over for a taste test, between the same two beers. I wonder how just thinking it was blaeber would affect the taste buds.
