I could have sworn a couple days ago I saw threads talking about how tradeable the BA Yetis are. Today when I went to my local store, I saw tons and tons of them sitting on shelves. It just doesn't seem right... Am I mistaken, or do I just live in an area where people don't appreciate their Stouts/Imperial Stouts?
They did have Oak aged yeti, but they also had some form of BA Imperial Stout. I don't remember off the top of my head, but I know it was the IS. EDIT: It is the Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout.
Thanks for the help guys. It was a 22 Ounce bottle and it was 9.99. Guess it isn't what everyone's looking for. I've had some of it and enjoyed it a lot. Thanks again !
incidentally, with the infection problems, BA yeti probably isn't thaaaat trade-able, even though i'd guess it's spectacular when uninfected. the trials and tribulations of BA beers and trading.
I think we are all glad you asked because it would be quite the situation you would have put yourself in if you posted a FT: BA Yeti and didn't actually have one. I believe there was someone who did that a few months ago and the trade fell through pretty quick. Other than that, I believe that it's one of the better stouts that just sits on shelves. Cheers
It happened a few times where the beers were actually shipped. Some people gave up the value of BA Yeti only to get Oak Yeti. FYI for those who don't know, if the word "Barrel" is not on the bottle, you don't have anything of significant value. Oak Aged Yetis pretty much trade $4$, locals, etc. They don't trade for anything rare.
Bwahaha!!! You thought Oak Aged Yeti was BA Yeti?!?! Loser! Yeah, I made the same mistake when I started.
BA Yeti is definitely something else when uninfected. Such a shame that '11 had issues. I opened a bottle at a tasting last November, and it was one of the favorites by a long shot. I swore I'd try to trade for another one, but don't want to take the risk now w/ all the claims of infection... Hopefully this year's batch is back to normal!
No one should trade a bottle known to have infection issues without the other party knowing. I traded one before the infection issues were known and still plan on making up for the bad bottle I sent. Mcnaughton, I'm looking at you!
