I come back to this sub with another trading question that I'd like to put out there before I subject myself to the possible flaming that might occur if I just went ahead and posted this straight into the ISO:FT forum.

Can I get a Dark Lord with a combination of/What's the best combo for getting a DL?

    -2014 Parabola
    -Bomb/Bible Belt
    -Gose
    -Gose Gone Wild
    -Vanilla Shake
    -Mexican Cake

    Thanks guys!

I think with the right trade parter any combo of those should be able to pull a DL

Yes, what @Iamjeff6 said. You shouldn't have much trouble with those offerings. Good luck!

funny... about 2 min after I read this post I got a text from a buddy with a pic of a Prop, BCBW, and 2 Cakes. The 2 Cakes were for a bottle of Dark Lord. You in fact should have no problem getting one. If I had any left I would happily send it to you... if the O's would have come through you would have gotten my last avail instead of Andrew.

Gahh - those Os are playing with my emotions this season!

I appreciate the feedback and will go back to some mid west trade partners and see before I post in the trade forum.

    Cheers!

If you don't find a trade with your regulars, let me know. I almost certain I could part with one.

don't over-offer...Dark Lord is a $15 beer (yes, brewery-only) with more than 40k bottles in circulation

hell, Mexican Cake was probably JUST as hard to get with the exception of a few 100 people in/near Charleston. it definitely should not go 2:1 w/ DL, but I guess more power to the person who pulled that off

It was a hard bottle to track down. Had to trade to trade for it.

You guys rule. @just_in I might be reaching out to you.

I must say, a lobster drinking, smoking, gambling and wearing sunglasses would be so much more realistic if he didn't have rubber bands on his claws.

FYI-I traded 2 6ers of Gose for a Dark Lord and a Black Note. Thought that was fair.

I still don't understand why Westbrook Gose is valued so high. Glad I get Anderson Valleys, did a side by side and it's close enough.

It is because how damned good it is. I've got a couple of amazing trade partners down in the southeast and am happy that I do. It is, by far, the best Gose I've ever had. FWIW I have not had Anderson Valley's.

    How many have you had?
I've only had 3 and I immediately noticed the difference in quality is minuscule. Westbrook is the most tart, then Rapp, then Anderson. They are interchangeable IMHO.

I have had WB Gose, Gozu, Lost Nation Gose, Rapp Gose, a couple foreign ones and I have had Anderson Valley's The Kimmie, The Yink and the Holy Gose (within the last couple weeks actually). I like the sour/tart/funk that Westbrook brings. Rapp's was very close but not as good as WB IMO.

True, but you should see him after his 4 glass of sherry - insufferable. The rubber bands are required! I think I'll be PM'ing you this evening.

    What about Gose Gone Wild?

GGW is very similar to WB Gose, IMO. You can tell the hop profile is a little different but the same tartness is there. I love it!

PS, if no one hooks you up on the DL let me know. We're close so shipping would be cheap. Cheers!
