Curious to see what people trade for it. Live in San Diego, have access to regular off the shelf Alpine from the brewery, plus Stone et. al. Assume I need to go above $4$ there. Also have some more limited stuff like Chez Monieux, Cuvee de Tomme, Eclipse EC12 and EC18. Thoughts on how to approach a trade?

Will likely be able to trade Beat batch 5 depending on what happens with a buddy tomorrow

It may be different lately, but I have gotten mine $4$, for harder to get, highly rated beers. Usually figured as cost of the Westvleteren plus shipping from Europe. Would have to believe B5 will get it done. Other options are wait for a chance to get a brick from your store when they arrive here, or make a purchase yourself online from an EU shipper.

I see lots of Westy 12 trading these days (especially since St. Sixtus is releasing 70,000 6 bottle giftpacks worldwide). I bet you could get at least 1 (and quite possibly 2) for an EC 18. It's a great beer unavailable in most places.

If you wait a bit it will be simple. The Westy 6-packs are dropping in the US very soon, and when that happens the market will be flooded. Even if you can't score one yourself, given the cost of the packs ($100-ish), many people will be eager to trade 2-4 bottles to recoup some of their money.

I traded one for a bottle of GI BCBCS.
