I agree with the others, locals for locals posts work well for me but it helps to list specific breweries you are offering and are interested in. I happen to know a couple breweries in my area that nobody else gets (New Glarus) or they get rarely (CW). People outside WI tend to love both. I offer those up for trade as options, then I then toss in other lesser known WI beers and people give me feedback. The ones they love, I toss in as extras, etc. in other trades. I love getting oddball stuff from breweries I cannot get.
I am a "send me what you like from your state and I'll send you what I like from mine" kind of guy.

One thing I do wish is that there was some kind of "list" where one could go and see what was and was not distributed to a given state. I have learned some by asking, but that's rather inefficient. Certain states seem to get everything (PA and NY) and others get close to nothing in terms of distro.

It's a bit out of date, but the website seekabrew does have distro lists by state, and you can even compare what your state has that their state doesn't. It's what I have been using for sending extras etc. It's a pretty handy reference, but some of it is old/incorrect

@patdunkel check out seekabrew.com for distro maps. The guy that runs it is also pretty good about adding breweries if you email him

Thanks for the tip, really nice even if a little out of date. Can't believe I've missed that for so long! And @DeadWalkerAir , your avatar is terribly distracting:grinning: Wow.

@patdunkel I love some Katy Perry! The only frustrating part about seekabrew is even though he color codes it if a state only has regional release of a particular beer, you have no way of knowing what that region is
