    I traded a 100% BA Cuir for a Rare, 1:1.

    I also traded 2011 BT + 09 DL for a Rare.

But that was about 8 months ago when Rare was probably tasting much better.

The last rare I traded was a few months back (if that) and it was 1 for 1, my rare for a 09 BT. both parties were happy.

That's great. I love both BCBS and RARE, but would rather have a ton of BCBS than a single rare any day. You just gotta wait on that BCBS, it gets best after about 2 years from what I have tried. I wish I stocked up on the 08's for $16 a 4-pack 2-3 years ago.

First i offered up 4 Beat B5s, then a CFH 12, and now this:

    http://beeradvocate.com/community/threads/iso-rare-bcbvs-or-2009-bcbs-22oz.45665/

nothing has got me a Rare yet. I really wasnt even seriously looking for it until i found this:

    From Greg Hall:
"BCS rare, I’m excited. Brewed in 2008, aged for 24 months in 23 year old Pappy Van Winkle Barrels. These are the very best smelling barrels I’ve come across in 18 years of barrel aging beer. Barrels were originally filled with spirit in 1985. We have 50 bourbon barrels aging, it will be a one time bottling, it will not be repeated."

I was born in 1985 so i figured this would be a good beer to drink for my birthday coming up in November. Id also like to find a Stone enjoy by 11.09.12 because that is my birthday

Damn I'm starting to think I should have traded 3 Beat B5's for a Rare earlier this year...

As I understand it, Rempo has no more Rare to trade. And thus, there is no more Rare available for trade.

My friends and I found a local guy with a few extra bottles of rare, we want it for a bourbon county tasting... We're trading white chocolate, CBS, and BT for it. It's an IP trade so that helps to soothe the burn...

    Really?
So I would take it that you have had it several times over the last few months as I have
    It is drinking amazingly
15 years from now I'm sure the annoying word "sublime" will still be used.

FWIW, I'm new to BA and have been flamed several times for some of my FT/ISO posts, but I don't look for several 'hits' just one or two. That being said, I now feel very lucky to score a Rare for what I did (2 cognac sweets and 1 Leon). The Leon is what made it, and I feel greatful to the trader (billyshears) who got me the rare. I've seen several people with even more generous offers for Rare and get crickets, so I think it's all a matter of who is watching when you put up a FT post. If I had a second Rare I would trade it in a heartbeat for some of these offers, but I'll never land another as I'm not going to part with that much BA goodness again. Just something I need to try once. Cheers!

how much more than a CBS would be needed? my friend today just asked if we could land one and I said I'd throw in my CBS... he's a Bruery RS member and is willing to throw any of that stuff in

Check out a few posts above yours. They mentioned a CBS and two Bruery beers. But it all comes down to finding the other side of the trade, of course.
