Trading for Westvleteren 12

Shocked that anyone says Westy 12 was over-rated or over-hyped. I had it for the first time last year and a few times since (all 2013) and I thought it was unbelievably great. There are many over-hyped beers but this isn't one of them.

 

I see it way too often on here. The country is Belgium, things they make are Belgian.

 

As far i as know there is no difference between the american export westy's and the 'normal' westy's you can get at the abbey. I had a tasting a few months ago and i didn't noticed a thing.

We can always work things out : it's a 2.5 hour drive for me and still got some here

 

Wow, would love to try this beer, even just to check it off the list. Not sure I'm ready for international trading/shipping, but maybe.

 

Before you go the overseas route, know that we get a fair bit up here in Canada, I'm sure there are more than few Canadian BA members who have a couple bottles stashed away.

Yeah we get Westy up in Canada, and many Canadian BAs have boxes in the US for beer trades.

 

Hey man I have 4 Westy 12's i'll trade for some fresh pliny and Eclipse, i'll even throw in the last Westy Glass I have. I'm not a trader and have only traded twice in person but I'd be willing to let them go for two beers i've yet to get my hands on. If interested hit me up and we can figure out a ratio.

 

Any recently completed trades for Westy 12? After I finally got my hands on Beatification this was my next target want. I was trying to figure out a ratio of Beat #7 or BCBS for Westy 12.

Am I off trying to score 2-Westy 12 and 2-Westy 8 for 1-Beat #7 and a plus on my end? 4:2
