Just looking for some feedback about your experiences with shipping growlers. Are they anygood once they arrive at the destination ? Seems to me that they would fall off quite a bit ! I mean, all that moving and shaking and all. Thoughts ?
i shipped off growler of Last Snow for growler of King Sue and had no complaints on either end...i see you're in Ohio...send me Bodhi for a test run and i'll let you know how it turns out ;-)
I've shipped a fair amount of Tired Hands growlers cross country and from the feedback I've received they hold up just fine. Whenever I ship a growler I try to ensure that I ship them the same day they are filled to ensure maximum freshness.
I recently received a growler of Bodhi; awesome. I've received growlers of Tired Hands; awesome. I've received growlers of Hill Farmstead; awesome. I've shipped out many growlers of Boneyard; everyone tells me they're awesome. So ... I'm thinking it's all good. Do you have to take a bit more care in packing, in shipping timing? Yes. Flip tops are superior, IMHO. Counter pressure fills are great, but not necessary in my experience. Tap the hell out of the cap and pack carefully. No matter how much it's jostled there's only so much room for carbonation loss if it's a good fill.
