Trading Mix Sixers

This has been one of my largest issues with trading here at BA, open trades. With the new wiping of the slate, I figured this would be a chance for us to discuss the possibility of having a mix sixer trade forum/thread for folks who want to sample more beer. I wasn't sure if we should dump these posts in the ISO/FT thread with individual offers to trade mix sixers, since it wouldn't be used for hunting a specific beer, just trading local/out of distribution mix sixers for others. I know I would be very interested in trading some Midwest distro mix sixers for stuff from either coast, or north or south, but with the old rules I couldn't post a status saying that or an individual thread since there were no specifics. The new rules make it seem plausible, but I don't want to risk a ban. Maybe others are interested in some trading like this, or maybe I'm alone - I'd like to find out either way.

Perhaps we could set stipulations within the thread regarding freshness, price, or other criteria. I know some mix packs go for pretty expensive, while other places you can get a steal, while others use their mix six areas as dumping grounds. Otherwise, the limits of freshness could be set to the two trading individuals. I know it can be tough to get a mix six with everything within a month or two old, especially for the more local/special offerings. Either way, I'm curious what everyone else thinks about this. Thoughts? Impressions? Any interest?

Also, wanted to mention this as the thought popped into my head a bit ago: what about a monthly mix six trade? Sorta like a beer of the month club, but with BA members. The selection may be a little better, and the two parties could agree on a mix six, a regular six, bombers, etc. for the month. Although mix sixers would keep it consistent. It may be asking a lot, but thought maybe there would be some interest. A monthly thread could be posted on the first day of the month at a certain time with entries, and then folks trade after a week of entries with trade partners randomly matched. Just some thoughts. I know there is plenty to try on the shelves around me, but I'd like to see what others are sipping on. I know I have a few brews I resort to every now and then that I never hear mentioned around here.
