Sorry if this has been discussed before, I did a quick search and did not see anything in recent discussions. Basically I wanted to know how something like Heady Topper gets traded, especially as we enter warmer months, when it is supposed to remain refridgerated bc of not being pasteurized?

I was at a prominent brewery yesterday and bought cans of a limited release, some of which I would be interested in trading. However I am worried bc I think it is non pasteurized as well. What is the general consensus around here about this issue? Does putting these beers into shipment where they will warm affect them in any way?

    Thanks for reading

Almost all craft beer that people trade is not pasteurized. Pay good attention to the local weather both at home and wherever your box is going. Communicate with your trading partner and just dont ship if its going to be too hot, also ship on Mondays so your box never sits in a warehouse or a truck over a 90 degree weekend.
