What are people doing now for these? I'm currently starting a trade with a new trader and showing him the ropes. I told him some usernames off the top of my head that were references since I can't access my old profile so he could start right, by getting used to doing the due diligence that may save him from getting screwed one day. That got me thinking what is everyone doing these days for that? Is there a way to access old profile pages for references? I never wrote mine down anywhere else:confused:

You should be able to get to your old profile - just go to BeerAdvocate.com and look in the top right. You can't edit it or anything, but you can copy/paste it into your new profile.

I tried...top right will show me old BMs, left below BA logo under your beers it'll show hads, wants and gots and top right says your profile but when I click, it takes me to my damn profile on this new side of the site.

Yeah, I'd like to be able to access my old profile as well since I can't remember the majority of my trading partners.

And to you kind sir, and good day.

    About
    Tripels Reviewed: 34

I absolutely love trying as many different beers from as many breweries as I can. Tripels make great extras for me, and the more obscure the brewery they come from, the better.

    Awesome traders I've traded with:

Although Supes helped already, I just want to post this for anyone who is still confused an comes across it. Simply go to:

    http://beeradvocate.com/user/profile/YOUR-USERNAME-HERE

    e.g. http://beeradvocate.com/user/profile/cpinto6 or http://beeradvocate.com/user/profile/autumnbeerlove for me!

I had 20-30 listed. I remember many of them, but not close to all. I just like to have it for personal reference and to show future trading partners that I have quite a few under my belt.

On a side note, I still haven't figured out how to access my own reviews.

You mean trades right? Partners are usually people you trade with multiple times and have developed a good relationship with. 20-30 of those seems like a shit ton to me...I have 3.

Use autumbeerlove's link up there with your user name in it. Then once your at your about page click the your beers link off the the left. It should pop up with your reviews, wants, gots and hads.

I have some trading partners with who I interact with on a regular basis, but most of the time I'm either after one or two specific beers or have a beer I want to trade away and just want to see what offers I get. It seems easier than trying to hit up every person I've traded with previously to see if he has a specific beer I'm looking for.

I just trust people, and sometimes it turns into a "Surprise LIF".

Also sometimes leads to you giving a guy multiple bottles of Rare as extras and not hearing a word from him in 16 months...
    But, you know, whatever works...

I just list them in my profile. If people want to contact my past traders I really don't mind. Thankfully, all of my trades have gone very smoothly.

I don't really check refs, I just go by my gut feeling. Works pretty well.
