    So the old thread is locked. I haven't really tried much from them this year, but excited to see what Buckley variants come out this year. All 3 BA's in 2018 were fantastic.

    Any 2019 Transient brews fellow Beer Advocate's recommended?

    I thought Brimley was fantastic (though that may have been an ‘18 beer). Is there info on ‘19 Buckley? I’m hoping to finally be around for it, but can’t find any info online.

    When does Buckley/variants come out? I missed out on the release last year but traded for some and it was some of my favorite beer I've ever had.

    Yeah, was June 2nd last year, late May in 2017.

    Ha. And Brimley had some people tell me Brimley is infected. And some here have stated as well.

    Haven’t popped a Velvet Sea yet, but will say Gray Skies Neckbeard from late last year flew under the radar. Phenomenal beer.

    Velvet sea was good. Definitely an interesting mix of maple of whiskey barrel. I was expecting something a little different becasue of the foeder but the specially made whiskey one worked great.

    Opened my first bottle (of 3) Brimley's last weekend & shared it between three of us. With all of the talk of infections/off flavors last year I was prepared for the worst. Even with my mind searching for those off flavors, I didn't get any & neither did either of the two that I shared it with & we finished the whole bottle.

    It's not one of the better BA barleywines I've ever had, but it was a solid middle of the road offering. I'm interested in opening my other two bottles down the road to see if the taste is the same or any of them are the drain pours others reported.

    I can also understand why Chris hasn't pulled these from the shelves or issued refunds given how my first bottle tasted.

    Anybody ever try Shamps? I'm bringing a bottle to DLD and I've never had it. I just remember it being expensive af.

    Had it in draft at the last members event held in IL at Beer Temple. I remember it being good (rated it 4.08) & still have my bottle as well. It’s a sneaky 12% too IIR

    It was just the save the date, no details, variants, etc. yet.

    I'm not on Facebook either but you can still access the Transient page. That's where they post all of the release news/info, not the brewery website.
