Fair. I've had about 8 probably and they were quite watery and I wasn't impressed. I'm all about the tried and true stuff these days. Been burned too much in the past as the test market for new breweries trying to see what works.

    Obviously really late notice, but:

I got accepted into Transient Reserve but am deciding not to join (nothing to do with the beer, which is fantastic). If anyone wants my spot, let me know ASAP. Fees are due by the end of today.

Anyone know what beer(s) will be released at the party? I assume Chris will email that info out eventually, I just don't want to wait!

wild turkey oude bruin, obelus galaxy red wine, maybe a flemish red? really not sure, but regardless I'm excited, sep 7 will change the landscape of hand crafted barrel aged wild ales in the chicago area. cheers to chris and his hard work!

Only thing that disappoints me is that I will not be able to go on the 7th and drink with everyone. I will have to pick up mine after that

Same here. I know it's impossible to pick the perfect release date that everyone can agree upon, but "c'mon man!" you pick the Bears regular season opener, not to mention the release hours are during the game? I won't be able to make it as well, hoping to hear of a back up date for those of us who can't make this release.

I thought he said we can pick it up any other day after the release at the bar

Curious what will be on tap as well. Should be a fun time. Hopefully they can get a TV to watch the game on. That would be good enough for me.

That would work for me too, but I have tix to the game.

Had a great time at the release. Was surprised that not too many people were there early for the bottle share. I really like the glassware we got. Chilling a couple beers now, hoping to try them later today.

The release was a good time, the oud bruin and Chardonnay saison were pretty solid. The porter was also a standout for me, hopefully that gets bottled. I also brought my sour saison to share and it got great feedback.

Blown away by that Brett Pale though, may have been my favorite of the day on the drafts.

I cracked the wild turkey bĂȘtise last night and it was delicious. Reminded me a little bit of love child #4 or bourbon cherry origins. It has a nice balance of balsamic vinegar tartness and vanilla bourbon character. Excited to try the rest!

For anyone that was at the release, did they make any mention of when allotments would be available for pick up for those of us that couldn't make the release? I know they said shortly after, but I would love to able to drive down there this week if I can. Just don't want to make the trek and get turned away for any reason. Sounds like it was a great event!
