Given the way people consume at home/parties over the holidays, I expect it to go even faster. Plus people are off work and can make the trip

Hoping will still be available Friday when I have chance to get there. Any limits on 4-packs?

Yep. I said a few pages ago to enjoy the ease at which to get this stuff while it lasts. It's going to only get worse.

How's the new IPA? I was hoping for more Flightless or Obligatory, but that doesn't seem to be in the cards.

Was also hoping to make it up there, tomorrow, but that might be a fools errand. Especially since I really only want one 4-pack, but would end up buying more.

Compared to east coast lines its still super tame. The only issue is 1 POS so if you are 40 back at open, plan on a 40 minute wait.

    Oof.

I mean it's only an iPad. It's really easy to invest in a second one for the times you'll need it once every 6 weeks.

They imposed a JIL limit after half gone, 1 case now. Tomorrow might be lower than 1 case limit.

Yeah one guy wheeled out $700 worth of beer and I believe he came back in for 2 more cases. They ended up getting a 2nd POS going through a phone which helped. I just opened Resinate and it's piney but with the other qualities you would have liked in Flightless. It seems like 6pm was the time to come in as the line was finally in the door at 5:40

felt like a Saturday night in there. Busiest day I've ever seen in the taproom.

The demand for this beer is interesting. I liked Juice Is Loose, but can't see myself standing in line for it...nor could I buy a case or more worth. It's just a style of beer I can't drink more than a couple of at once, so a couple 4-packs is as far as I could go. I was hoping to get some next week on my return trip to Chicago to share with a buddy here, but that clearly won't happen. Oh well - plenty of other stuff out there.

Are people noticing any variation between batches of JIL? Intrigued to hear that, since there is the inevitable "last batch was better".

Lots of people wheeling out dollies with multiple cases. Saw one person buy at least 12 cases of JIL.

Everything had tamed down by the time I got there (just before 6pm) but there was a consistent line of about 5 or so people the whole time I was there (about an hour). I could see Juice lasting into late Thursday/early Friday. On the plus side, Resinate is a nice consolation prize if you miss out. And I haven't tried them side by side yet but I think Honeystone might be better than JIL

I wouldn't compare Honeystone to Hopslam as much as I would compare it to the Pipeworks Fish series beers. It tastes like a Transient DIPA in terms of hops/mouthfeel/haziness but the honey will be very familiar to regular PW drinkers. Good beer

Sorry Keith I'm just seeing this but I emailed them 2 weeks ago & was told the week of 12/11. I got a FEDEX notification last week but only that a label was created but it never got picked up or dropped off to them. I emailed Beer Cellar again earlier this week & ta da it was picked up by Fedex yesterday & delivered to me today

I'm pretty sure they mentioned they were delaying shipping until the extreme cold temperatures subsided. I remember seeing a post (Facebook, Instagram) somewhere but don't recall where right now

JIL has been very consistent, not much if any batch variation. Transient is just killing it IMO, my vote for best new brewery in the state for sure. So happy to have them relatively close by!

I got there a little before 4pm and was behind the elderly woman who had no idea which case of beer she was supposed to be buying. Clearly I need better grandparents.

I really enjoyed Resinate. It has some of the mouthfeel characteristics of a NEIPA but with a nice change up in hop profile. Wish I would've grabbed a 2nd 4pk.

Haha could have been my aunt that lives in MI. She is in her 70s and gladly offered to pick me up some JIL as I just couldnt make the 100 mile drive this weekend. Although I didnt tell her to get me a case just a few 4 packs. Missed out on last canning and had it on tap Labor day weekend and thought it was delicious.

Ha, maybe she's got some trades lined up for the extra, j/k. She took a flat up to the counter to hold while she waited in line, it may not have been a whole case. She asked me what the new beer was and I told her it was JIL and Resinate, but I only saw her grab JIL. I was picking up my membership bottles as well so I missed her at checkout. If it was her, she was a trooper and sampled Resinate.
