How do you figure? It looked like just the main release is?

At the end of the email it says it's MI only because it was brewed in Michigan and they legally can't sell the beer across state lines.

"This years batch and last years barrel aged version were made in Michigan, and that is where they will stay. None will be released in Illinois as we do not yet have permission to distribute across state lines."

Unless they do a release for Illinois members in Michigan, it sounds like we won't be getting an allotment of these as Illinois members.

    Interesting. Missed that part. Thanks.

As Illinois members you won't get an allotment of Buckley/kentuckley because we don't have permission to do that yet, but so long as this release/reservation system works well, we will try to do the same for kentuckley/Buckley as we are doing for this release, but we may make that day-of pickup only for reservations (don't hold me to all that until we see how this release goes).

Thanks Chris, really appreciate you offering the reservations to IL members for this release & fingers crossed that it goes smoothly. Would be great to be able to reserve an allocation for upcoming bottle & can releases as a go forward membership perk.

I would actually start driving out there for releases if I knew a decent allotment was on hold. Would be a great perk for the folks in Illinois who have been with transiet from the begining.

What is going on for Buckley and Kentuckly? Do you have to be a reserve member to get these beers? When is the release at the brewery?

At this point none for IL

    2017 Buckley and 2016 Kentucky
As many of you know, our beloved brew dog Buckley is turning 3 years young at the end of the month. As before, we will be celebrating our brewery's mascot with the release of his namesake beer and the bourbon barrel aged version (along with many variants on tap). The release will take place the last Saturday of the Month and (so long as this reservation system works well for Anachronism) we will be doing something similar for those beers. This years batch and last years barrel aged version were made in Michigan, and that is where they will stay. None will be released in Illinois as we do not yet have permission to distribute across state lines.

Is it assumed the Buckley/Kentuckley release will be open to the public? And, is it referring to the last Saturday of May...as in Memorial Day weekend? It seems like an interesting weekend to choose.

Nothing noted in the email & last year Buckley was available to the public but Kentuckley wasn't available in MI. This year I would guess that both will be available to members to reserve first (like the wild ale) with the rest being available to the public

If this sour release works out well, it sounds like the Buckley release will be the same.

MI and IL members can reserve bottles, and and then there will be open sale to the public on that Saturday.

Personally I hope that it works well because I like this set up rewarding members with a pre-sale since a lot of us can't get to there to get the draft/growler discounts as often as I would like to. I normally travel for work so without the reservation option I would miss out on a lot releases or have to hope that I can get someone to mule for me

I figured it would be like most of the releases in the past, giving members the pre-sale chance and then the leftovers going on sale for non-members. That makes sense to me.

I'm now more intrigued by the date of the release...the info posted above mentions "the last Saturday of the Month". It seems like that would be May 27th, which would count me out.

There were ~3 cases left at 4pm on Sunday. Limit was two bottles/person.

Have we gotten the IL bottle sale email yet? Been very busy and may have missed it.

Also, it would be great if Buckley/Kentuckley were sold in the same manner as this past weekend. I feel like that worked very well.

I haven't received an email yet. They don't seem to really deliver anything when they say they will anymore. I'd say it is questionable a release even happens on May 21.
