How long do the juice cans usually last, cant leave the city till 4ish and I am sure traffic will be super shitty since its a holiday weekend.

the thought of driving from chicago to michigan and back through that awful construction on 94 in indiana on a holiday weekend makes me want to drink

 

Well, I'm already here in SW MI, and can confirm the traffic sucked on 94 - we avoided it, and that was at 9:30 last night. Feel free to DM me if you want me to grab you any, if I make it in there.

 

Still have cans of juice. 3 4-pack limit now if anyone still is thinking about coming out for it

 

Actually still a 4 4-pack limit. Drinking and typing doesn't go well together.

 

Plenty left at 4:30. Grabbed a bunch that seemed to be the last, then they wheeled out about 10 more cases. No growler fills.

 

Wish I could make it but will be in MKE this whole weekend. Whaaa whaaa whaaa...

 

@TransientArtisanAles , I know the Aquanaut thing threw off the whole works, but do you have any sort of time frame as to when the last IL member release might be?

 

Or the party. Or literlly any communication at all.

Communication is horrible. Not even a Chicago brewery anymore. Amazing IPA's, Fantastic Stouts, Everything else is pretty just ok IMO. Havent decided about renewing but probably not. Too much good beer being made in chicago to justify i think.

 

Anyone know if they still have Flightless?

 

I don't know the answer but my future brother in law picked some up for me this weekend and said cases of it were stacked pretty much head high. If you've had prior batches this one is just as excellent or better. Obligatory on the other hand was not working for me--too harsh and heavy--and I loved Obligatory when I had it several times previously on draft.

 

Anyone have additional info about the new construction?

 

Agree 100% on obligatory. It was my favorite in their lineup and this batch isn't anywhere near the same beer.

 

Has there been a brewery with more variation from batch to batch? Taste, carbonation, consistency. Wonder if it would make sense to just embrace the variation and start to label their releases (e.g. "Obligatory, batch 4)?
