My strategy for the last few years has been two pronged. First, I have a heavy duty cardboard box t,hat was used for a LCD computer monitor and which fits in my soft sided suitcase. I line it with bubble wrap and then bubble wrap each bottle that goes into the box. It then sits in the middle of my suitcase surrounded by clothes, etc. I have yet to have a broken bottle though I recently had a bottle of Westy leak.

The second is what I do for valuable bottles like my Armand 4 beers. These go, tightly bubble wrapped, into shipping tubes and then into a hard sided case and has always worked for me.

I do like the idea of the dedicated shipping boxes you can get, but they aren't flexible enough for me as they are all designed for wine bottle sized bottles and a like a mix of bombers, 750s and 12oz bottles.

Plastic bag then bubble wrap then wrapped in clothes then surrounded by other clothes = 100% success every time I've done it
