There's one called the Ice Mule. Don't own it, but the few people I asked that had it, seemed to love it.

A few of the Yeti soft coolers have been showing up at Marshall's stores around NJ. To echo what was said above, it's the old style, not like that matters much with a cooler.

I second the Yeti 30. Picked one up earlier this week when they were 50% off on Amazon. I also think the Hudson Sutler 30 can cooler is a nice option...good styling and cheaper by far than the Yeti.

I packed up the Yeti this morning. I used normal super market ice packs. Left the house around 11. We were in Point Pleasant all day and the cooler was in the back. When I got home, the ice packs were still mostly frozen and everything left inside was ice cold.
That's why the Yeti is the best.
Is it worth it? I don't regret my purchase.

Thanks for all of the input. I saw the Yeti Hopper 30 at Marshalls too. $200 when I've seen they can go up to $350. If I were buying this for myself, I probably would go cheaper, but it's a gift for my husband, so I'm willing to splurge.

I was deciding between the soft sided vs. a hard cooler. My brother just got a Rtic hard cooler. But majority of the time my husband is hitting up local can releases and he has a ton of crap in his car, so soft is probably easier.

Pretty cool Yeti is donating 100% of all sales from Yeti.com and their flagship store on Sept. 1 to hurricane Harvey relief.

Look up the NorChill cooler bags on amazon. Pretty comparable to the Yeti bags but much cheaper. They come in 12 or 48 can options.

Another option is the Burton lil buddy. Holds 12 cans.

I picked up a soft sided cooler from Gander Mountsin right st $100. It keeps thing cold all day, but it will not keep ice over night. For the beach it's irrelevant you still need ice everyday. I can't pull the trigger on Yeti IMO they are proven to be top end but the price IMO is ridiculous unless you camp where access to ice is limited. Artic look good, but buy early sometimes there's a wait, but they're half the price of Yeti and I suspect just as good.

    Bump...
I’m looking for a soft cooler bag for cans that I can use for traveling when I’m flying. In other words I need a bag with some protection. I’m not looking for this......

I want a soft bag or backpack style that can hold 20-24 16oz can’s. The inside liner should be hard for protection.

I have the 24 can version of this. It is great. Not cheap, but worth it to me. Cooler itself is very light, which makes it easy to carry around.

My friend has a Yeti BackFlip which works ok. It is a backpack type, but when it is full it is not very comfortable.

Hey, Dave, I've been happy with this: https://www.rei.com/product/115793/barebones-explorer-cooler

The inside liner isn't hard, but the cooler has a semi-rigid frame that accomplishes what I think you want it to.

This one had a good test the other day in a parked car for 7 hrs. Outside temp was in the 90s. It had 10 cans, a crowler and a 750 with a bag of ice. There was still a 1/4 bag of ice at the end of the day.
