I am going to be traveling to Memphis for Spring Break next week with the family. This will be my first time in Memphis and was wondering if there were any Breweries, bars or bottle shops that are a must hit. Thanks for any advice in advance.
If you are looking for a wide variety (high gravity included) you need to hit up a liquor store. Buster's wine and Liquor has a huge selection of bottles and growler station as well.Good local stuff i recommend is Wiseacre brews especially Ananda IPA,Adjective Animal DIPA,Tiny Bomb Pilsner, Gotta Get Up to Get Down Coffee Milk Stout and also Astronaut Status BBA imperial stout if you can find it,might have to go to the brewery which isnt far from Busters. Wiseacre has a great taproom and you can buy bottles to take home. Memphis Made and High Cotton are mainly tap/growler only but makes great brews as well. Also almost anything by Southern Prohibition is great. They have just put out their 2016 IPA so you know its fresh. Their Mississippi Fire Ant Imperial Red and Soul Glo Saison are excellent. Madison Growler shop has great local stuff and big growler station. It's inside a Cash Saver grocery store so no high grav stuff. Stellar Cellar and Cork's Wine and Liquor will give you two other great options to have. Cheers!
