Will be traveling to Narragansett in a few weeks and am interested to know if there are any good stores in, near or around Narragansett?

Yes, Pier Liquors in Pier Plaza (across the street from the Town beach) is pretty good - really the only place worth going in Narragansett. Wakefield Liquors is okay as well - about 10 minutes away. If you are driving up 95 from CT, Wyoming Package Store is pretty good and right off the highway.

Wakefiled Liquors is where you want to go. It's only a few minutes from Narragansett.

Both Pier Liquors and Wakefield Liquors - a few things at each that are not at the other. If you only have time for one make it Wakefield. The Mews in Wakefield often has a decent selection on tap for a pint as well.

I recommend Pier...it's my new go-to store. Wakefield has dusty stock and high prices.

    Thanks guys, very much appreciated!

I was there a couple years ago before i got into the craft beer scene and fell in love with Left Hand Milk Stout. This time around i want to stock up on beers from breweries like Left Hand that don't deliver to Connecticut. Any recommended beers in the stout/porter family that you'd recommend?

In order of my preference - Mayflower Porter, Berkshire Drayman's Porter, Berkshire Dean's Beans Porter, Grey Sail Leaning Chimney Porter, Foolproof Raincloud Porter

depending on how long youre around you should try to make the ~30 minute trip to grey sail brewery, its a good tour and the people there are awesome.

If you like porters you absolutely must get your hands on Mayflower Porter.

The only one we don't get now in CT on that list is Foolproof....

You are correct RMoeNay. The only one on that list i've never had is the Foolproof. The others i'd rank Dean's Beans, Mayflower, Drayman's and the Leaning Chimney.

Any good stouts that are availabale in RI but not CT?

Sounds like CT gets everything we do...Trinity's Imperial Stout is pretty good (draft only)...
