    Hey all,

I am going to be in Ontario, CA next week the 4th to the 7th and I'm wondering if there is anywhere in the area that is worth checking out? I have been looking around a bit on the web and haven't been able to find to much so I thought I would come to the experts. I am staying right near the airport there so preferable close to that.

    Thanks for the help!

    Mike

Eureka burger in Claremont is a few exits west on the 10 freeway off Indian Hill. They always have a pretty good taplist and awesome food.

Heroes in Claremont always seems to have some really good stuff these days too. Last time I was there they had Rasputin XVI on tap the time before that was Abyss, the time before THAT was BCBS.

Back Abbey has really good food and a lot of Belgian stuff on tap.

All three of these are in the Claremont Village. And just down the street is Claremont Craft Ales, decent little brewery to check out.

And there's another place a mile or two away from the village, I think it's called Limericks in Upland. I've only been there once, but they had some good stuff on tap and a good atmosphere.

Oh, almost forgot. Downtown Pomona has DBA 256, a decent bar. And Rookery Alehouse is awesome as well.

Thanks for the info. That Rookery Alehouse looks pretty awesome! I have a buddy coming to pick me up one night so I will see if he is up for going to any of these places.

    Cheers!

Are you looking to pick up some bottles? If so Upland has Pacific Wine Merchants, Rancho has Red Carpet Liquor, Ramona Liquor and Paradise Liquor. Cheese Cave in Claremont has a small, but good selection. If you want to travel further Lone Hill Liquor in Gledora has probably the best selection in the area. I'll second a trip to Claremont Craft Ales. Probably the best beer being produced in the area.

Friend frequents The Rookery and loves it. I believe Claremont Craft Ales makes the best beer in the area and it's not even close. Eureka! in Claremont will have the best overall taplist of the area by far, although Slater's 50/50 in Rancho Cucamonga may come close. But if you're looking to stay very local then you have Chino Valley Brewing Company just below the airport to check out.

I second the Slater's 50/50, they have a nice variety with a few surprises once in a while. If you venture to Claremont the other choices mentioned are worth a visit.

I might add, if your going to Glendora be sure to stop in La Verne where you will find a few new restaurants downtown:
Pappas Artisanal: good food and a nice draft selection
    Lordsburg Ale House: (Old T-Phillips)
Both of which are walking distance.

    Cheers
