Why would you assume they'll become less greedy?

You were insulted by a company then proceeded to give them your money?

You must not have been truly insulted then. I disagree with a couple companies' ethics (which we will not discuss on a beer website) and I will not and do not give them my money. So let's break out the thesaurus and find out which word you meant to use

At times, they legitimately have volume issues in Charlton. I’ve hit plenty of new England’s best breweries during covid, TH’s volume is just different than the others when it comes to pickup. I highly doubt they’ll have the same issues and won’t need to place such limitations with two more locations. We’ll see what happens. Not to mention, I consistently see people picking up orders larger than a case...

Meh, 24 beers in 14 days isn't the worst thing in the world. Pretty much averaging 1-2 beers per day, which most people can handle. It's a lot, but far from a "drinking problem". Even when you consider the 8% 16oz nature of these beers, it still averages out to 2-4 Bud Heavies per day which is child's play for a lot of the BMC population.

There's a guy in the CT Beer Drinkers group who is constantly boasting about the case+ of TH beers (or similar) that he takes down every week like it's something to be proud of. Now that is a problem.

Tree House had a case minimum until they started offering cases of Eureka for....$65. Given that a first time visitor to the site is likely to miss the button that says minimums entirely, then either a) put more than a case in their cart or b) put less and get the '$65 minimum needed' message upon attempted checkout, seems like not all that big of a deal to me. I'd change the minimum message it if it were me, cuz it feels a little scummy not to be open on the ordering page that its $65, but in reality I imagine almost no one is buying extra beer because of it.

I found the fact that I had to search a beer forum to find out the actual rules for ordering beer sort of insulting, yes.

I also wanted their beer. The two can co-exist. My word choice is fine, you sound pretty worked up over it though. Not sure why

Glad I stopped back in the thread here

Not worked up just amazed that you can be insulted by someone in one moment, gripe about it online in the next and then just brush it off only a moment later. Your statement just leads me to believe you were being a little hyperbolic

Yeah, if consuming the equivalent of 3 Buds a day is a drinking problem, then I'm in trouble, but I'm working on it!

As far as Tree House goes, I'm just not a fan of their ordering system so haven't been since Covid. But I do miss their beer, I should probably just suck it up and make the hour long trip, but it's less than an hour to Fox Farm for me...

You’re not missing much. Last week I picked up four packs of KJ, Very Green, Doubleganger, C107, and Juice Project Citra Galaxy. All were underwhelming and nothing special aside from the mouth feel. Maybe I have palate fatigue or everyone else is catching up to TH? However, I rarely have Heady and when I do man, it tastes as good as I remember every time. TH not so much.

I'm in the minority but I believe it's the latter.

Talking about being in the minority in Tree House opinions, I think I like the current system better than before. Now that everything is available as a 4 pack I'd say the ability to preorder and wait consistently less than 10 minutes in my car makes up for no singles. I miss on site beers and going further back growlers, but give me the 2021 take home system over most of my pre-COVID experiences in line there.

Quality wise it would make sense if others have caught up just given the proliferation of NEIPAs out there now but I think the beer has been very very good lately - I'm no Monson truther but I've had plenty of 2016 caliber TH beers this winter.

Heady is a shelf beer as well. Many options on the shelf that are better...

Curious what you think is better than Heady that’s a shelf beer?

Most Difinitive, Austin Street, Bissell and DDH King Sue off the top of my head

    I guess taste is subjective

IDK, its just kinda what we say around here. Always better stuff on the shelf?

Yeah I guess we just fundamentally disagree. 2-4 buds a night, every single night, is indeed a drinking problem, especially when you tack on the 6-8 Buds/day Friday-Sunday which is typically the case in these situations. Maybe it's not the end of the world, but it's objectively not good.

I guess to tie this back to the weight problem, though, at least the Buds carry a lower caloric load than the NEIPAs.

Given it went from pre-arranged cases to 4pks, it's a slam dunk option. And I'd agree overall with you: preordering 4pks is better than having to fill out a card on site and getting to buy singles.

DDH King Sue is indeed very good, but hard to find and $20+ a four pack. Where is Bissell a shelf beer in MA? I’ve yet to have a Definitive beer that I like, but will check out Austin Street. Thanks!

DDH King Sue was only in bombers but DDH "regular" Sue is in the 4 packs.
