I for one am happy there is a left turn now if only for the simple reason that it allows CT jerks to get the hell out of our state faster.

Guess they figured the extra hazard of taking a left out of there is less than the hazard and complaints of business owners further east doing U-turns and turning around in their parking lots. Stupid CT jerks... :stuck_out_tongue:

Honestly it's far more dangerous when people are constantly pulling out into the left lane of 50mph traffic and slamming on the brakes at the bottom of a hill and take a left turn into a business. And then they turn out of the business and have a huge hill to overcome, further disrupting traffic. And then of course there are the complaints.

The left-turn visibility out of Tree House isn't that bad at all. Certainly not bad enough to force people to pull the aforementioned dangerous stunts. About time this was straightened out. Good riddance.

Literally thousands of cars across the street every week looking at your business. Hundreds of hungry cars every day and you still find a way to close down. That is literally "an epic failure in business"

Nate should buy Zorbas, pull a Peter Bissell and partner up on a restaurant. Maybe a BTs?

Should just make it an actual fruit stand so people can see what jackfruit actually tastes like.

This must have been before the pandemic because that’s how I gauge time. I pick up dinner from my local RI pizza place and walk in wearing my TH hoodie (lol). The owner sees the logo and says her restauranteur friend/family/something will take over the since abandoned Zorbas building and turn it into a new restaurant. Next time I go in I have to ask her whatever happened and post it on BA! I’m guessing covid hit and that put the brakes on any plans.

I wish this was closer to 90, coming from Albany area, this is basically the same distance as the Treehouse in Charlton is. Pittsfield area would have been great.

Perhaps this was mentioned before, but any Game of Thrones fans notice that on the King Jjjuliusss label that the Hand looks very close to the Hand of the King pin from GOT?

If I had to guess, the logic of their real estate choices seems to be: grab beer dollars leaving MA. If you're in Albany heading into VT, you're probably heading up 87. Pittsfield isn't really at a chokepoint to anywhere. Deerfield catches people heading North. Their Cape location catches the Cape beach traffic. The only missing piece is somewhere on 95 heading to NH/ME. Probably not an urgent priority since Charlton can catch most except the Boston cohort.

Deerfield is a good choice for western mass. Umass Amherst, Amherst college, and then the 5 sister colleges, along with Northampton and Amherst towns. You’ll be able to draw people driving from nyc/ct to Vermont/nh. Not to mention the vt / nh crowd won’t have to drive to Charlton. People in western ma (Pittsfield) won’t have to drive to chartlon and can enjoy the scenery and comfort of western ma.

charlton is great, but I don’t think it captures what the two new locations will in terms of aesthetics. Charlton was, I think, a perfect choice for location if youre trying to pick up most of New England and New York from one location.

I look forward to stopping by the Deerfield location more so than the Cape location, and I live only 30 minutes from the canal. Friends of ours who spend summers on the Cape insisted we visit them for a few days back in 2019. We had a lot of fun hanging with them, but the Cape breweries are generally pretty bad. Knowing how much we like beer, they planned a trip to visit almost every brewery on the Cape, which we did. I sampled some pretty lousy stuff. Even the "good" beer was not very good. The best beer I had that week came from the liquor store. Treehouse is gonna sell a ton of beer on the Cape.

Pre-pandemic, my wife and I spent a lot of time out in the 413 area code. If we could get jobs there that paid what we make here, we'd start looking for a house out there tomorrow. A friend of mine thinks this is a "weird" opinion. So be it.

We moved to western mass about 2.5 years ago from NY. The wife and I are both happy with the location. After a year or so we both realized western mass would be home for many years to come. 1.5ish hours to Boston, Marblehead and salem. 2.5 to ny, the cape and islands, 3 to Portland, or Stowe. The mountains running through western mass are beautiful in the summer and fall. Plenty of outdoor recreation that isn’t super crowded.

Needless to say, I’m stoked about Th Deerfield. There are a few solid breweries in western ma (fort hill, four star) but treehouse will be welcomed.

I live in Pittsfield and I can vouch for this. We're kind of in the middle of a lot of stuff (Hudson Valley, Southern VT, and Northampton are all an hour or less away), but we're not a place you necessarily have to go through to get anywhere (other than North Adams, I guess.)

I'm excited to get Tree House out in the western part of the state. It's not like the drive to Charlton is terrible or anything, but closer is always better. Heck, I'll be able to hit Tree House, Honest Weight and Brick and Feather all in one swoop.
