Made the run yesterday. I have not had Very Green in a few months but this batch of it is as good as I remember. Should have gotten more.

Seems like TH lager production is stagnant.
    Or have I missed releases?

I noticed. I complained to them many times but I'm not claiming credit. The minimum purchase is still a joke.

Yeah with all the assumptions of it being intentional, was just shocked no one brought it up. Ive gone maybe 2-3 times total during the pandemic due to the minimum purchase, whereas I was a 1-2 times per month visitor previously. Probably miss the core offerings the most, but oh well. Long Live and Vitamin Sea have filled that void in fantastic fashion.

Looks like we are still dealing with "grassy" galaxy hops. The Very Green and Green I bought today have that grassy flavor/aroma that has plagued Galaxy hopped beers for the past two years, which is a major bummer. I hesitate to type this as some people will might give me grief, but I also noticed some peanut butter flavors in the beer. The beer descriptions of galaxy hopped beers will need to change if this keeps up. The Green series used to be my favorite, but the hop profile has changed..... for the worse... IMO. I would love for someone who has some actual knowlege rather than just my speculation to weigh in. Am I right, or are most galaxy hopped beers lately lacking the pineapple/ lime fruit punch that beers in the past had?

Definitely tasted that peanut flavor in off galaxy before. Apparently the demand just pushed production too fast and its hard to get the same galaxy hop of 4 years ago.

I used to seek galaxy-hopped beers and now avoid them as much as possible. When they are "in the mix" and not fully galaxy hopped I've had better success. Citra and nelson are seemingly the hops that haven't varied much no matter the demand brought about by the proliferation of craft breweries.

Galaxy version of 'Wandering into the Fog' from Abomination brewing is really good. Overall I agree that Galaxy on its own isn't usually ideal and it works much better as a medium/large portion of the hopping combo.

Wow! My first time having this and it is outstanding!

I wish they were a little more open with their hop profiles, tho! Ha! Beernerds need the deets, guys! LOL...

Can’t tell ya that because then the whole industry would start trying to brew NEIPAs and replicate their success...

They do give out little nuggets once in a while. Nate responded on Twitter once that Green is 60% Galaxy. He also recently posted that Simcoe is in a large portion of their beers which is surprising given how much bitterness is usually coming from that hop and they seem to eliminate most or even all of it sometimes

So many stout options on the order page but is anyone waiting for the Zep beer all that is? I have been holding out on a trip hoping it would show up. Solid stout without the liver crushing abv.

I was really enjoying the more classic styles and other relatively lower ABV options from TH in the fall. Unfortunately they seem to have returned to the All DIPA, All the Time game. Almost all of the beers currently available as four packs are 7.5% ABV or higher.

Delicious as they are, my liver and waistline can only handle so many DIPAs. I'm hoping to see TH bring back the lagers, Eureka, pale ales, and other lighter offerings as the weather warms a bit. An ideal TH case for me would be 6-8 DIPAs, 6-8 single IPAs, and 8-12 lagers/pale ales/etc. Sure, one can buy a whole case of DIPAs and then drink them over a longer time period while interspersing them with beer from other breweries, but then fridge space and freshness both become issues.

I think we'll definitely start seeing that. Hell, it must have been only a month or so ago when they had Nomad, Old Man, Bear, Peach, and a few other lagers available in 4-packs, all at the same time.

Now if only we can get the cores available in 4-packs...
