Has any one had a bottle of Tree of Hope and Tree of Light? If so, how did they compare?

I’ll be getting a Tree of Light this week. I’ve had Tree of Hope and loved it. It was basically still so that is likely a major difference off the bat from Tree of Light. Friends that have had it, did not mention that aspect.

I've said this in here before, but my Tree of Hope was also still, but as Matt said, a lot of people have not had that experience. It was still quite tasty and complex, particularly for a brewery that hasn't done a ton of this, and whose non-BA barleywine I didn't like too much.

All still experiences on Tree of Hope from my friends. Small sample, but no one I know did not have a still bottle. Not the case with Tree of Light from the one friend who has had it so far.

Thanks @MattOC and @Sabtos . My Tree Of hope had minimal carb, but it wasn't completely still. I really enjoyed it. I am going to get a bottle of Tree of Light- the question is whether I get one or two. I'm not broke, but I don't casually spend 18 bucks on a 12 oz beer. I wish I had a second bottle of Tree of Hope; it is on my short list of New England beer of the year.

To be fair, Tree House has had a long, storied, and disappointing experience with parking planning. Can't say I'm surprised here. I feel like we had this exact conversation when Charlton opened.

Yes and no, that’s a pretty quiet little community over there. My grandparents used to live two houses down. I can 100% see why they would want to be sure that the place doesn’t become a zoo. As I remember, even in its heyday, Horizons was never insanely crowded

I think that the residents have a legitimate concern beyond your usual NIMBYism. It'll be fascinating to see how this plays out. Often times, it feels like city/town officials get overly excited about bringing in an entity like Tree House to town, but I can't see how that outweigh the headaches that may await residents...just looking at what's currently there. I hope that there's a solution that works for everyone.

I lived on the cape for 3 years, in the summer everywhere you go is packed. In the winter is a ghost town. While I do understand the residents concern, how about help come up with a solution instead of just trying to get the whole thing shut down. I don't think these residents are considering how beneficial to the town treehouse will be. Think of all the jobs it would create just to start.

My Tree of Hope had zero carb but a nice flavor, I would buy again. Tree of Hope is much better than Tree of Light. I bought two TOL and won't drink the second one, it'll end up as an extra in a trade. So basically I'm recommending you buy only one. Do whatever you'd like with my opinions.

In order to be granted approval of a Special Permit in MA, which I assume this needed, you have to demonstrate that the project with fit with the character of the neighborhood; the intent of the bylaws; and not be more detrimental to the neighborhood. Very arbitrary in a lot of ways but good consultants can overcome that. Traffic engineers and civil engineers play a big role.

Everyone thinks they're a YIMBY until Tree House tries to open next door.

Okay-Thanks for the honest feedback- I did end up getting one because I also got a Foster. On a side note, happy to have Sap back in the Fridge. Now I just need a case of Lights On!

What could it be? As you pull into Tree House, across from lower dirt parking lot.

my thought is it's a dedicated "Traffic" building. They'll park all their plows, quads, shuttles, landscape vehicles, etc. there. Looks like it has several foundation cut outs for garage bays.

    Update on TH Deerfield:
Planning Board meeting was Monday and it went very smoothly. The board were unanimous in approving the waivers TH requested as well as their plan for Phase 1 (on the fly and "pilot" brewing). Some of what TH requested approval for were construction of new signage, removal of trees and construction of a portico which will cover an area for 6 cars to be loaded simultaneously with on the fly orders. The Zoning Board meets with TH tomorrow evening. Once all the approvals are in place, the ball should be in TH's court and opening will depend on how long it takes them to complete all of these tasks.

Full recording of the meeting is here:
