Ah so that's where you divide the handle into two words...

Had a 8/23 Julius last night and it was fantastic...also had a Trail maybe two nights ago, I'd put it at very good but not great. Plenty of others left in the fridge for the days ahead.

To be fair, Tree House keeps choosing locations that are small and quaint and entirely ill-equipped to handle their type of business.

They definitely lost some of that magic with the factory that is Charlton and are trying to bring it back with these satellite locations, but they should know better by now. And now we have all these Surprised Pikachus when the locals start complaining.

The Deerfield location is neither small nor quaint. Neither was the full build-out at Monson, actually.

TIL Tree House has full on branded semi-trucks.

I've heard mention of Deerfield here and there, but paid it no mind until today.

In Perp has been mighty fine. Only real standout of my last haul.

Does anyone know where Tree House got the name for Richley Rum?

It is the middle name of their head distiller’s father.

    Current hoppy cans, absolutely must-haves?

Not just new beers (Galactic, Clasico, etc.) but the usual suspects.

Seconding this. Been a little up and down lately, at least relative to usual (that latest batch of Very Hazy was ehh), and would love to hear if there have been any standouts other than the obvious hoppy stuff I'll get (King Julius, Galactic, Green).

I had an Autumn tonight and thought it was fantastic. Best Galaxy beer I’ve had in a long time!

You don't think Monson was small and quaint when they first moved there? Did you ever experience the red barn building?

And I never said Deerfield was small or quaint, just commented on the fact that TH has had some bad experiences with such locations and yet they continue to do it (Sandwich).

The only reason Treehouse had bad experiences with their different locations is because demand for the beer kept exceeding their expectations. They’ve been very clear about that. And you say Sandwich has problems but, as far as I can tell, the location is working out just fine at the moment. As a pick up location that takes reservations, everything has been fine. Talked to many people who have said it’s an easy process. No idea what will happen with the location as they move toward another phase, but I suspect it will work out.

I’m wondering if Covid has skewed people’s sense of an ‘easy process’.

My coworker went last week, made the order on his phone down the street, and drove in and picked it up. On his way a few minutes later. Sounds pretty easy to me.

15 minute pick up window doesn't sound 'easy' to me.

The 9/21 batch of Very Green might be an oxidized mess based on the 8 cans I dumped tonight, beware. Posting this against a pour of King J for contrast, which is actually one of the ‘paler’ DIPA’s in the lineup and you can see the marked difference.

Drain poured 8 cans picked up this weekend. Was going to send some out to a friend so glad I tried this first.

I will be sending this to Tree House. The King J was as good as ever.
