Cracked my second can today. This batch of lights on is no joke. Classic treehouse goodness.

God damnit we swung down tonight to get the 5th anniversary cold brew and bring our neighbor for her first time. I was staring at those cans in my checkout but didn’t buy them. Grabbed Citra all ways. Meh, now I think I’ll regret it

Can anyone recommend a tent campsite somewhere between or around the Woodstock and charlton locations. Would hope to spend max $50 per night.

Bigelow Hollow State Park in CT is great. Also there’s the Solair nudist camp in Woodstock hehe.

edit, hmm nothing popping up for me when seeing if Bigelow has any sites available, maybe their season ended. Mashamoquest Brook State Park is supposedly decent but more of a drive to Charlton. Woodstock is ver close.

If you look at your picture just right, it appears Karen Read is poised to take a sip from the biggest glass of JM ever poured.

I am coming into Boston tonight, heading for a conference in CT. Brought an extra suitcase to take back beer, of which I plan to bring back maybe a case or a little more of TH.

Never been, and not really ever had the chance to try much. Just a few. I can hit up Tewks and/or Charlton tomorrow. Any suggestions on what to pick up? Since someone will mention it, I will be in Woburn tonight (so close to Tewks) and more or less have to go pass Charlton (detour costing maybe 15 minutes). So, either or both is fine. Looks like current stock is almost the same.

I am not normally an IPA guy, but the NE ones sing to me. I just can’t do bitter. I also don’t like the onion flavors you can get (like, at all). Grass and pine are OK if not toooo heavy.

The only things I thought for sure I should pick up were King Julius, Emperor Julius, Emperor Creamsickls and some of the Peacharine varieties (but open to specific suggestions). Heading to fox farm, so mostly skipping the lagers here, but will get something if recommended.

Get any lager or pils with Peacharine if Treehouse has any in stock. You can thank me later

I’ve been reading the thread for the past month or so. Seen a ton of your posts, and appreciate that, and do intend to pick these up.

On that note, some may ask why I have asked for suggestions if I have been reading. Well, given the volume of options and given my low exposure to TH, I thought some might say, “oh, don’t waste your suitcase space on *****” or “they do other things better than ****, try ****”.

Small tip for traveling, bring plastic 6pk or 4pk holders. They sell the beer loose. Packing a suitcase with a loose case will be difficult.

If I were limited for space I’d skip any creamsicle or adjuncted IPA from Treehouse (base Julius, etc. are much more enjoyable for me). Treehouse lagers are very good, but I’d agree with saving space for Fox Farm lagers, which I’d say are slightly better as a whole.

Maybe not relevant, but based on your IPA comment, if you like English ales, both Fox Farm and Treehouse do them well. I think Treehouse just released Old Man Oak which is absolutely amazing, and Fox Farm has had casks on recently.

All things being equal, unless you want to try their pizza, definitely go to Charlton. The Tewksbury location is cool, with the golf course and pizza and all, but Charlton is just a whole 'nother deal. It doesn't sound like you'll be having drafts if you're essentially on the way to work, but if you have a few extra minutes to check out the place, it'll be worth it, IMO. You won't find another brewery like it.

As far as the beer goes, if you've never had Haze, get Haze. While Julius is the clear TH iconic IPA, I feel like Haze is by far, their greatest core DIPA. If any Haze variants come out tomorrow, get those also.

If, perhaps, you do have time for a taste, you can get two 8 oz pours of any beers that they do 16 oz pours for, for the same price as 1 drink ticket, so you can maybe try some shit before you buy it.

Here's what I'd buy for a great sampling of what TH does best based on your stated preferences.

    If limited to a case:
    - Haze
    - Lights On
    - King Julius
    - Green
    - Baby Fern
    - House Lager Peacharine

    Additional packs to consider
    - Bear (fabulous hearty brown ale)
    - Free to Roam (exquisite oak-aged helles)
    - Moment of Clarity (very sweet and decadent maple milk stout, yet dangerously drinkable at under 8%)

Thanks, I was just kidding around but appreciate you have followed along. Feel free to message me with any thoughts or questions of easier. We tend to try to get there weekly, in all honesty as we love the cold brew and stock up week to week. Their lattes are insane as well. Read the posts above you will know all of the must have items. Don’t ever feel bad for asking. This group is for that. When it gets down to the day of your trip I’ll shoot some notes on what’s available.

Also, don’t sleep on their Marzen/Festbier….Whisper…..

Bought this this past weekend on the advice of this thread and I'm not disappointed. Great beer. Somehow I'd never had it, despite, according to Untappd, having had 200+ beers from them.

    My last can.

I'm in love. Tree House beer has settled into a different era and left the past behind. This is, in many ways, a good thing. But holy shit do I miss that signature flavor that no one else has ever replicated.

They've hit the "bubblegum" mark many times. Usually with batches of KJ or JM etc... But it's not quite the same. Like 80%.

This brought me back to Monson, before they exploded and could only brew 12 can allotments at most. I legit don't know what they did here but god help my liver if they manage to replicate it.

I’m glad we’ve reached a consensus. It wasn’t just me thinking there was something extra special about this one.
