Many memories of being dropped off at Millis Bowl by my grandmother and being given $10 for arcade games, or for going Friday night for glow bowl with my godfather. Those are good memories at least. I wish there were candlepin bowling out here in the Berkshires, but it's all that abomination, 10 pin.

Funny enough, I worked at Massive Video too for the last year or so that they were open. My brother helped me get the job. One of the best jobs I've ever had. Just silly amounts of fun.

I went to Montreal last year around this time and texted my dad from a Habs game, and he was so worried that I was going to get stabbed like Dan.

Haha Used to get many free movies from him.

Sadly, he was not my last friend to get stabbed. But man, his recovery was long.

Ok, we’ve derailed this thread enough.

Can we discuss where Nate got that glass and moments later submerging his head in a bowl of ice Julius?

I went to Charlton at about 2pm for a beer and saw someone walking out with both a full sixtel and a 5l bottle. I didn't know anything about either before I arrived. They also had an empty wax dipped sixtel at the merch counter so I asked if they were really selling full ones. She said she thought there was only one or two for sale. She couldn't remember the exact price but seemed to think it was about $250. I saw another person inside taking delivery of a 5l.

Is there still a pour limit during the weekends?

Typically yes, and it will be heightened soon as bigger crowds come in spring and summer warmth.

I happened to look today under Visitation Policies and all locations I looked at said “There is currently no beverage limit”

Yeah they sold a waxed 6 of Julius for 250. I believe he was from out of state / region and got “lucky” on an annual trip. Honestly good for him, I don’t think I could have turned it down.

If they sold sixtels of core IPAs and lagers I would go for a subscription deal.

What on earth have they figured out with these curiosity throwbacks man. The bubblegum thing is off the charts on every single one.

Yeah, I can honestly say I was blown away. Purely that a scaled down version has thet much body and flavor. I honestly think it’s an improvement to JM. Which I would’ve thought would be impossible.

Regarding the pour limits ending asked earlier.

Since we had a moment when picking up our coffee cans yesterday, we stopped to chat with an employee we know well enough to get the details on the no limit pours.

So, the timing of the question was interesting as they had just dropped the limit policy last weekend. And have been monitoring it since. What I never realized was how much they actually do watch what people are doing(at least in Tewksbury) and that balcony can help on busy days. They do keep an eye on folks who may surpass 3,4 or more beers. They will cut you off if over-served and will tell other employees to cut them off. What they have seen, is an uptick in DD’s or one beer folks coming up essentially sober and ordering repeat beers. Which are then just given to the person who’s trying to throw multiple more back. There is, to an extent, some pushback from employees to reinstate limits on weekends. It’s also causing more camping out and taking up space for much longer durations. Their even bigger gripe though. The family who come and reserve whole giant table areas. Never ask if it’s ok, bring in all the cake and stuff. Then just leave it all after expecting it’s a restaurant with bus boys, etc. it was an eye opening chat to say the least.

I imagine this is a big gripe at a lot of places. I know this happens a fair amount at Notch a lot too.
