I expected exactly what it was haha. I’ll look up what year it was. I say all of that still with a laugh. Everyone has their place and tribe so let them be. Shit I saw ICP play at some point in the mid 90’s for someone’s birthday at the Palladium. Got completely covered in Fargo soda. But honestly, all those Juggalo’s were so deep into the music and friendly. You couldn’t hate on them and their passion for it. I just didn’t know much about it.

Thats awesome. Was this the show where the fans ripped the lawn up to shit? Was never my scene but I remember friends saying they were dodging clumps of turf all night. I THINK it was Oz Fest

Thanks to @Jbrews for inspiring me to try that cold brew. I tore through the four I picked up in Charlton, and yesterday I actually picked up as many cans of coffee as I did beer (8 each).

Question: how long does it stay fresh in the fridge?

I’ve only had a bad experience with one of the lattes going bad after about a month and half-ish. I am not sure how far you can push the regular cold brew. Doubt it will actually be undrinkable vs. just losing some quality over time if you hold on to it for a while.

My own personal die on the hill is that Tree House is best in the market in cold brew (quality/price point), and they probably could go nation-wide with the product, but not sure how that would impact the quality/cost. It’s the only cold brew I will buy over making my own, unless I am in a tough spot.

Yeah, make sure to get to the lattes. When we opened a spoiled one and both didn’t quite grasp why it looked foamy, that was a trip. We both took a drink from our glasses. I’ll never forget Em’s face when she realized it after a huge gulp and basically was sick, just wow. I still feel bad about that. Try not to go past the date on the can. It was so sour and I only had a small sip and spit, as I sensed it quickly. Not TH fault, they just will turn eventually.

Funny thing is we tend to buy more coffee than beer at times now.

The only ones I don’t pick up as often would be some of the single origin and special washes. Not that I don’t like them. But for an every day cold brew they are sometimes very delicate and nuanced. Have to be in the mood for it. The current kini options somewhat fall into that category for me. But still very tasty. I personally don’t care for the barrel blends or any of the orange flavored ones. To each their own.

The fall and winter lattes are ridiculous.

Also, don’t sleep on Summer Crush next time it’s out.

Mochachrome is a great treat, when it’s released. The batch this year was superior to last.

It was wild enough to have the Disco Biscuits play Tree House, but now discussion on BA. Truly worlds colliding. I worked for the Biscuits for a long time (2002-2018) but was a fan before that. Hadn't been to a show in a few years but I thought TH Deerfield as a music venue far surpassed my expectations. Been there numerous times for beer/pizza but that was my first concert there. I'll be keeping an eye on what else comes thru in the future since it was a great place for a show.

Not to go all Bean Advocate, but yes I buy close to as much coffee as beer at Tree House now. I got street parking outside Prudential on Friday so had to carry out from storefront which limited me to a case. Got 12 beers, 8 cold brew cans, and 4 concord grape transfusion cans for the wife.

    "Bean Advocate" has several meanings.

Yeah, this is definitely the best I've had, and it actually validates my opinion that my homemade cold brew is pretty damn good. Grinding some Trader Joes beans every morning and letting them soak in a big ball jar until the next morning, then starting the day blissfully.

Why did I not think to peek underneath the can? Looks like I'm all good. The date is early October, but there's no way these bad boys live to see August.

Ok, Trail Magic is real good, but it's not REAL real good. I had some fomo after my recent visit to Charton... literally (as in figuratively) saw glowing reviews as soon as I got home. But I lucked out by being close to Saratoga after a funeral on Sunday, and I picked up four to take home. Like I said, real good. But not Human Robot good.

So I got to check out the Saratoga location this week for the first time (I've been to Charlton a few times but no other spots yet), and holy **** what a spot. Place looks like a museum or something inside, just breathtaking. Maybe not everybody's aesthetic, but after thinking Charlton was impossible to top, I think they achieved it here. Now I guess I have to see the other locations eventually.

I knew they wouldn't have slices and was by myself, so I just got some of the garlic knots and they were so tasty I nearly ordered a whole pie anyways before talking myself out of it.

Only negative, and this is the first even remotely negative thing I've ever said about this brewery, was that my second pour was the worst experience of hop burn I've ever had. Actually, after experiencing this, I'm not even really sure I've tasted hop burn before and certainly nothing to this level. It was the Juice Machine with Guava, which I was really excited about, but holy chemical burn in the back of my throat. I couldn't finish even half of it, it was so unpleasant.

Meanwhile, the Summer Strawberry was fantastic. Summer is still one of my favorites I've had from them, so was happy to see a fruited variant and it didn't disappoint. Grabbed a case of mixed beer to bring home as I can only visit TH about twice a year.

And due to all the talk about canned lattes on here I sprung for a 4-pack of those, which the person working told me are in such hot demand that the staff is prohibited from buying them right now. Almost felt a little guilty, but then I tried the House Latte and wow, you guys are absolutely right those are tasty. Funny enough I tried their Monochrome cold brew cans before and wasn't super impressed. I also tried some of their whole beans for both drip and espresso at home, of which I am a bit of a nerd as well, and didn't think they were terrific either, but these mixed ones nail it. Would buy these weekly if I could.

Anyways, Tree House still rocks. Carry on.

One of the cleanest beers I've had. I'd take it again over Magic Trail.

Been there. I love their lattes too, but holy shit, the bad can of Irish creme latte I got was foul as all hell.
